Jordan Henderson (Chelsea)
I don't think he's a DM anyway so I agree!!We need a DM in if he goes or not.

What gave you that impression. They also understand the club much better than Henderson. I never got the impression he was fully on board.
Chelsea aren’t higher than us, at least they weren’t last seasonBizarre all round.
With respect to Jordan, especially given his age, I wouldn’t have thought anyone higher than us would be interested in him.
Linked to Welbeck too, clearly they’re freaking out over now having too young a squad and now need old heads.
I think they have looked at who ended up just above them in the table and thought they would just buy their key players. Litttle do they know.Could be the best bit of business the Bees do with a quality replacement.Reckon he's been tapped up by Chesea as they want someone to tell them all the Bees' secrets so they can morph into a well-run football club.

Still can’t get Barry Bannan right though. He’s already moved on this summer, returned to SheffW….I’d like to get in there early and congratulate PG on the 2 new midfielders he’s about to sign.
I'm moderately concerned Chelsea might be starting to sort themselves out instead of just blindly throwing money at the wall but that's probably me giving them too much credit. This is weird to me. Can’t see why we would happily lose one of our players to go to a rival. He was decent for us last season. Not just the leadership, but for spells was our best midfielder. Even taking out the Brentford mindset - it’s odd that Chelsea, who I assume must fancy themselves as top 4 contenders, would see the likes of Welbeck and Henderson as the best solution, when both left ‘top’ teams years ago. As I say weird, can only think it has something to do with having homegrown players in their ranks.
Still far to many sober posts on here60 replies in under an hour tells us the GPG is alive and waiting for the season to kick in…
And he really didnt like being substituted.....might have been a problem in the dressing room if he wasnt getting minutesThey also understand the club much better than Henderson. I never got the impression he was fully on board.
I somehow don’t think he’ll be ready to play for anyone for a couple of months, plus we’ve recruited a very experienced pro and our current players are a year more experienced as well, so probably won’t weaken us on the pitch, even without potential recruitment. I’m sure he’ll be missed in the dressing room but I’d guess we can let him go with our thanks and use the salary elsewhere.Feel quite sad even though I don’t think it will weaken us if that makes any sense
Exactly and milambo and hickey as wellTime for Konak
I often thought it was a bit more about him than the team. What gave you that impression.
Yeah, I'm anticipating the first wail ofThis will actually be quite a big loss to the club IMO.
At least the miserable Liverpool away brigade will have their wish granted.
Wrong thread… but it’s a 6 we need and neither are that.Veerman and Sarr![]()
I’m not sure it’s being proactive in sorting themselves out but rather they’ve tried everything else and nothings worked. Now they’re huddled in a room playing “oldest Englishmans playing in the Premier League’ bingoI'm moderately concerned Chelsea might be starting to sort themselves out instead of just blindly throwing money at the wall but that's probably me giving them too much credit.
What do you see him as then?I don't think he's a DM anyway so I agree!!
Janelt and Yarmo will be the 6 we need to sign an 8Wrong thread… but it’s a 6 we need and neither are that.
Of course he will be replaced...He did fine for us, the bigger loss is the experience and morale boost he probably bought to the squad.. if this means we're in the market for CDM then I'm happy enough with this!
Ooooooooh, you tease, you!Of course he will be replaced...
Did he not sign a 2 year deal . It was reported as he hadI understand that he has 3 days to go as a BFC player.
As you read. We've let him go on a free, which involves cancelling the remainder of his contract.Did he not sign a 2 year deal . It was reported as he had
Agree He would have gone anywhere to make that wc squadI often thought it was a bit more about him than the team.
Tried the Hollywood ball far too often, and far too often it ended looking more like us just hoofing the ball back to opposition. Couple of very good assists early in the season from it, mind.I often thought it was a bit more about him than the team.
A mutally beneficial arrangement when Christian went. I could never see him playing for us after the wc, thought he might retire.Agree He would have gone anywhere to make that wc squad
Liverpool behaviour summed that up. Did well early last season but 2nd half of the season his legs had gone. Hopefully frees up some wages for new signings. And players like Ajer and Hickey getting WC experience only going to benefit usI often thought it was a bit more about him than the team.
