2026/27 Away and 3rd Kits

I am a fan of the navy blue. It’s a clean look. As an American I don’t really have connotations associated with Millwall, so that’s not a problem for me. Auburn (see my profile pic and username) wears navy jerseys, so I am quite the fan of the color.

Should look nice under the lights in a night game.

I wish the back wasn't a solid color; with the pinstripes as thin as they are, the names/numbers would've been plenty readable.

Other than that, I love it. It's up there with my favorite PL-era jerseys, along with the green third kit from 24-25.

I’m a bigger guy, and all of my Brentford Umbro shirts are 2XL. They fit, but they’re definitely a little snug, and if I had to do it over again, I’d probably have gone up a size. For comparison, I wear a 2XL in both Nike and Adidas shirts, and those fit me comfortably.

I skipped last season selection, so I don’t have any experience with the Joma shirts.

For those of you who are on the larger side and have bought either last season’s or this season’s Joma, would you recommend going with a 3XL, or should I size all the way up to a 4XL?

Unfortunately, returning shirts from the U.S. really isn’t a practical option once you factor in international shipping, so I’d like to get it right the first time.

Yeah, that's my primary (only?) beef with it. Furthermore, I can't decide which name/number I'd get because (American rant incoming) contract lengths mean nothing and any good player could be gone tomorrow if the price is right even though they signed a contract for 5-6 years, which is insane and incomprehensible. (American rant over)

I found the club linked size guide was accurate when ordering the home shirt so presume the away size guide will be good too.

Agreed on the pinstripe version - I'd buy it as well and pretty sure it would sell more than plain back...

Isn't this setting a bit of a dangerous precedent where you can 'invest' and then see your own commercial properties celebrated /marketed through kit design? It's a huge overreach. This doesn't feel right. I'm surprised this has got through Premier League rules TBH.

This is at the intersection of film, fashion and f*ck-all relevance to be honest.

Agree. Personally I think it's terrible and by far the worst away kit we've ever had. Lacks design interest, a very uninspired and dull look thst, from afar, will just look navy blue. 2/10. It feels absolutely no creativity has been put into this. Of course that's my opinion only.

I suspect the third kit will be used far more often for away games and in reality we'll see this shirt only 3-4 times ?

I'll put this down to late night posting because I have no idea what you mean - what PL rules? We can design a kit however we want as long as it isn't political etc.

I kinda agree. But the amount of sleep that I am going to lose about an away kit is...............zero.

Fair enough - not particularly bothered by kit designs over on and off pitch progression but each to their own

I'm surprised the Premier League might allow a kit design which clearly promotes an active film franchise onto the field of play. Its especially suprising given a 4th film is in production.

Maybe the Prem weren't fully aware, (often only part of the story is conveyed by savvy marketing teams in approval meetings), and I wouldn't be surprised if there's more to come on this, as there are very tight rules about how sponsorship must be confined to official sponsor areas on kit only.

For me, this is not a good decision from the Club. They have 'sold' an official kit design to external product marketing. Kits should be inspired by the club's own history, not by its investors. It somewhat offsets the good work they are doing on kit longevity, etc.

I'm against this and will not be going anywhere near buying any of it.

(I'm a graphic designer. I worked for my client, PUMA, on several national team badges, the African 2012 World Cup kits... back of kit typefaces, as well as the first PUMA Arsenal Kit launch back in 2018. There were very tight UEFA and FIFA rules and all designs had to be vetted by them in multiple rounds of development.)

Pretty sure only people that see the promotional material will see a link to the films. The average football fan will think it looks a bit like a Millwall home shirt from a few seasons ago. Nothing to see here in my opinion.

I really don't get the dangerous precedent outrage here. Did we not have Matchbook on the front of our shirts and plastered above the Bill Axbey Stand? Not to mention the fact we've had numerous gambling sponsors on the kit for years now, which I'd argue is much more offensive than a movie tie-in. A smart shirt, too.
