Bournemouth (A) SOLD OUT

I wonder how low the TAP's will go for this game considering our first season in Premier League TAPS have dropped off? I have always been in 1st or 2nd level TAPS for this game, but now lost a large amount of TAPS so way down the list.

Bournemouth (A) SOLD OUT

4 trips while Jr was at Uni down there so might swerve this year and go somewhere we've been less often.

We're a bit down the hierarchy anyway this season.

Saturday 3pm, so hard to judge based on previous ones.

Would need to wait for wave 3 if I want the boy to join us 🤔

Hand on heart I think the five year rolling programme is fair. But having been able to get every ticket straight away (apart from Aston Villa Premier League first away) for a long time it is hard to now see myself in the third tranche due to changes in circumstances.

Sorry to hear that. You should still be fine in tranche 3.
This is the smallest league allocation of the season, at least.

Was saying the same thing today.

My son and I have been ‘top tier’ for TAPS since their inception but now find ourselves in the third tranche for Bournemouth.

We simply can’t get to every away game but did do Sunderland, Forest, Grimsby, Macclesfield, Liverpool etc as well as the ‘local’ aways last season. Sticks in the throat a bit having been a ST holder since I was fifteen (forty years ago 😬)… but rules are rules, I suppose.

Ironically my son’s Uni dissertation was about ‘does the globalisation of Brentford Football Club adversely affect a loyal fanbase’?

And the simple answer is, yet it does.

Hope his conclusion was a bit more detailed than that!!

And more seriously, what answer did he come up with?
And what were the "adverse" effects??

Bournemouth (A) SOLD OUT

Tier 1 for this is 2090 TAPs, round that to 2100.
No TAPs awarded for the new season yet so that would mean you'd need 525 TAPs a year for each of the last 4 seasons since 2022.

Fag packet calculation says 525 TAPs a year to reach that level is about 19 home games and 10 away games in each of the four seasons. maybe less if you lean towards higher TAP away games

Working if anyone remotely cares

I'm still in the top tier. Somehow.

Bournemouth (A) SOLD OUT

I miss out on the top tier by 40 points. My son is in the second tier. Sounds about right to me that there are people loyaler than us who deserve first dibs

Bournemouth (A) SOLD OUT

I wonder how many are in each tranche and whether that's changed since rolling TAPs.

Previously, you could assume that a chunk of the top lot were long-term STH who didn't go away or just the London ones. Now, you know that every one of them is active and going to the majority of away games.

So, depending on the numbers, there could be a lot of jeopardy being in tranche 2 that wasn't there before.

🚨tranche alert 🚨

The groupings announced are for this game only, are they not?

His point still stands though (for this game)?

I’m in the same boat as you Bob living where I do I’m still clinging on to top tier but going to less games every season so eventually will drop down.I have no problem with the system as can’t see why I should remain ahead of a fan who goes to more games than me but has to wait till I snuff it to move up.

I think the people that don't use their points were priced in to the TAP windows once we'd been up one season when windows were no longer a 100% firm guarantee. They assumed that most of them would continue not to buy. Probably a bit of adaption for Fulham and Bournemouth when they often came out of the woodwork.

Now they'll assume that most people are regular attendees and will be interested, as you say.

Tranche tranche tranche

Bournemouth (A) SOLD OUT

It is what it is. I’m in the top 500 all time TAPs holders but have just about scrapped into the second tranche for this. Last few years I’ve done all home games (league and cup) ‘local’ aways and one ‘proper’ away a season. It feels about right TBH and I think they’ve got it spot on with the five-year rolling policy.

And the people who buy tickets to every game but don't necessarily use them themselves, of course.

Bournemouth (A) SOLD OUT

Returning to the uk, having lived abroad for the last three years, and I’m in the third window. It’s fair. It’s reasonable. I won’t be going to Fulham and Bournemouth this season, but life choices are just that.

Bournemouth (A) SOLD OUT

Was getting ready for 3pm "tickets are open", then spotted I'll have to wait for 3pm tomorrow having slipped just a few points into the 2nd tranche .... lost so many points last & this year .... c'est la vie!

Anyway, am having to deliberate re travel this time - no car now - so considering the coach - cannot seem to find prices for that - anyone - thanks in advance.

Are you saying you’ve not been to many home or away games in 3 years but still find yourself in the third tier? I’m a season ticket holder and go to every home game and probably 2/3 away each year and have dropped into the 5th tier in the above breakdown!!

whats your TAPS total if you don't mind me asking ?

Is that two or three away each season, or two-thirds of aways?

2-3 away games each season. I definitely don’t go to many away but to hear someone’s in the third tier after not attending any games in 3 seasons shocked me when I go to every single home game and haven’t not travelled away

OK your total makes sense. You’ve got four years of home games (probably about 235 a season if you never miss any per my calculation in post 11) and about 8 away games (40 a season) makes 1100.

Marv's total is more of a surprise. Maybe he comes back from abroad a lot, but not to every game.

Was hoping my total would be wrong !! 😂

Bournemouth (A) SOLD OUT

I understand why some weren’t happy about the Taps changes but it’s been great for us as for the first time my eldest (who’s 12) has made it into the top tranche for Bournemouth 🙌

Gonna plan a nice little weekend down on the south coast 😎🐝
Which was one of the key objectives of the change. Your Son would never get in the top tier previously

Bournemouth (A) SOLD OUT

For those worrying about getting Bournemouth tickets. If you can make Leeds, Leeds, Leeds, on the Bank Holiday weekend it will be guaranteed* a lot more fun than the “seaside town where you go to die” 🎶
Of course, those who can will do both :)
* does not constitute a guarantee explicit nor implied

Both of those games in the last couple of seasons have never been a drama selling out.

Even though one of them was one of the main reasons the TAPS restructure was brought in. :fishing:

Ticket booked. Can't be many left. Bunfight at the OK tea rooms tomorrow I reckon.

Got our two; “safe standing” near the back, Row Q in Block 22, my son’s closest fixture and not too bad for me, either!

Bournemouth (A) SOLD OUT

Last year both me and the boy got tickets in traunch 1 and 2 respectively now it's 2 and 3. We did 9 away and ST holders so somehow slipped back.

I was historically in the first TAPs tier. I moved away. I went significantly less. I’m now in the third tier. I chose to move away, I accept the consequence.

Not questioning your reasons for not going! Was just curious how much you’ve been going based on my tap situ and where you’re standing in “ranking” based on being away for a few years 👍🏼
