Considering our Irish links why is Poitin not on the drinks menu ?
Considering Poitin is a spirit, is the club licensed to sell it?

And what happens when/if KA, CK and NC move on, as is entirely possible?

Try something reflecting our Danish links, such as Carlsberg.

Probably.

Its lively carbonation is a big plus for the Grolsch IMHO. The thought of drinking something flat, especially in this weather, when your necking a quick pint at half time or before kick off makes me shudder.

#SaveOurGrolsch
Umm…I’m not gonna say you’re wrong to like Grolsch…each to their own etc….but it’s a lot easier to quickly neck something flat than something gassy!

Budweiser please or Asahi
Don’t get why Moretti is not an option keeping in mind features in a chant. They should dispense it for free I say!

Because it's owned by Heineken not Asahi.

Any news on whether the club/caterers will do the right thing and replace that filth with something drinkable?

Just have the same Lager the South Stand get?

Won't make that much of a difference cost wise.

Have to say that the new London Pride Lager is a very nice drop, much better than the Grolsh imo, they have done well here and it had a lot of compliments in the West Stand
Yes, I'm not usually a lager drinker, but thought I'd try it today and it was very nice indeed.

Let's hope they keep it that way, and clean the lines after every match!

Good to hear on the lager, what price was charged?

Although not a fan of having to explain which Pride I would like after asking for ‘a pint of pride’.

Just as a side note - sitting in N125 today - saw at least 4 people taking pints back to their seats. Were the rules relaxed today - or are the stewards still on the beach?

Yes, that was my first thought when I saw the marketing launch from Fullers / Asahi

What!!!? Under the Sporting Events (Control of Alcohol etc.) Act 1985, consuming or possessing alcohol in view of the pitch from 15 minutes before kick-off until 15 minutes after the final whistle is illegal. Club friendlies hosted at professional stadiums fall under the same legal designation

I assumed so….but wasn’t going to grass anyone on that one. Imagine stewarding will all be stricter come the first home game…

You’re not the only one! I think Fosters get a very underserved rep…

Personally I liked it as a session lager served ice cold at 4%, sadly since they decreased the alcohol to 3.4% to make more money it just tastes horribly bland.

Had one pint, not bad, just wish they could put cider on draft?

Had a pint of it. Was better then the Grolsch.

But how long that will last for i dont know. Its obvious that the lines arent cleaned properly.

Its ok, not my cup of tea but anything beats what we've had for the last 5 years.

Just wish we had a normal tipple on the taps, Fosters, Peroni, Strongbow, Carlsberg etc.

Isn’t all mass produced lager nearly the same, No matter the label on the tap if it’s cold and fizzy is it easy to tell the brands apart?

Yeah, was a good session lager. Not going blag it, I still find a good Fosters can do the job.

Marketeers used to say “you don’t drink the beer, you drink the marketing”.

Not a fruity beer fan but the new lager is a world away from that pathetic sh*t previously served :sorted:
