So is Kevin moving, where are the links to the see these potential transfer. Title is misleading.

Kevin Schade (Roma + Saudi Arabia links)

Jeez...when will this end?
Is there any update on transfer rumours regarding Kevin? I hope he stays.

Kevin Schade (Roma + Saudi Arabia links)

He’s still pretty young his next 3-4 seasons are where he should be approaching his peak…hopefully this season we’ll see him push on and we can lock him down on an extended contract!

I don’t believe currently we have a ready made replacement at the club, he’s good in the air and a real goal threat.
And has become a bigger part of the defensive set up when defending in our half. Then if we get a chance to break his pace gets him up with others much quicker.
When we’re further into our half you don’t see him going with any press as much it’s more Jensen and him covering

Another £10m on the top of the previous £40m price tag after yesterday.

He’s a massive threat and clearly a confidence player.

Don’t remember any Brentford wide player of my lifetime being consistent week in week out. It’s not part of the wide player package. One week there a hit the next they’re a miss. It would be the same for anyone who replaces him.

Thought he was superb yesterday. Pressed at the right time, looked hungry, adapted nicely to the almost 4-4-2 we utilised without the ball and then was lightning fast to transition into an attacking 4-3-3.
I know it was a friendly and Frankfurt were woeful but if he turns in a performance like most weeks then we should hold onto him and try and get him signed to a new contract

It’s a two-way street – if he makes himself one of the ‘first names on the team sheet’ players through consistent good performances, then the contract negotiations become less risk for both sides.

Fully agree, will hopefully help Schade focus his mind on what he needs to do this season, with only 2 years remaining on his contract.

erm, you clearly never saw St. Paul Stephenson play.

How would you feel if we got £2m for him?
Given he’ll be fully amortised by next summer even £2m is positive for in year accounts and SCR.

The club’s finances are pretty transparent and well run, delivering not only the stadium and the run to being a top half PL club but also IIRC a net profit over the last 5 seasons. I don’t think we need to raise the spectre of Noad£s’ basically dishonest ownership of the club when unlike back then, there are a lot of fans who are able using public information to keep an eye on such things at a deeper level than whether a player bought 3-4 years ago is sold for more or less money next year.

The difference between now and the bad old days is it actually is our owners/investors’ money on the line in the decisions being made.

Tom Curley (circa 1965 -67) - quick as lightning but then forgot what to do with the ball when he got into good positions...

Played 40 games with 6 goals before being transferred to Crewe.

Kevin Schade (Roma + Saudi Arabia links)

Hopefully yesterday’s game will have encouraged him even further to go into the Spurs game with more confidence in his decision making when attacking fullbacks. No doubt, KA and the coaching staff have been working hard to instil their tactics into the players to be more cohesive. We shouldn’t get too carried away with yesterday’s team performance, but Kevin always poses a threat to the opposing defence and if our ball retention stays at a high level then he will get lots of scoring chances

What I found most encouraging was how Schade, Thiago and Ouattara were all working together, sometimes the movement was outstanding, as could be seen in some of the goals.

Kevin Schade (Roma + Saudi Arabia links)

I wonder why he has not signed a new contract yet...

Kevin Schade (Roma + Saudi Arabia links)

More money and more security would presumably make it so?
Not necessarily all about money. He might be homesick for Germany. Who knows. I for one think he’s wonderful, a key part of what we are building and although I’ve made my views clear that I felt he’d leave this summer if a suitable offer came in (which looks increasingly unlikely), I desperately hope he stays

Kevin Schade (Roma + Saudi Arabia links)

At this point in the window, I’d only want to see him sold if it was for an insane fee, upwards of 80 mil, or if he was forcing himself out like Wissa. He’s looking great and this team has the chance to do something really special
If he is forcing himself out, he is doing his talking on the pitch. Unlike Wissa.

Kevin Schade (Roma + Saudi Arabia links)

How do you know the facts
I don’t claim to. It’s why I answered with a question mark. It’d be a reason to not sign if he thought his interests would be better served by staying on his current terms eg because a move next summer would be for enough money to make up for not getting the raise we offered.

That was ably assisted by a very high line and poor defending, doubt they’ll get that sort of space to run behind very often

Exactly. Optionality. There’s absolutely no advantage to him in signing a new contract before this transfer window closes at the very least, just in case someone comes in with a silly bid and huge new pay offer. Come September 2nd, it’s a different ballgame. Hopefully he stays, gets a big pay rise for a new contract and scores enough goals for my 250/1 E/W top 4 PL goal scorer to come in… Ker-ching all round 💰

Kevin is a lightening quick player who has shown his obvious talent only in patches since he joined us but I really believe that this could be his season, we would be mad to let him go anywhere my opinion. One other thing that suddenly struck me yesterday was that when you look who started, who was on the bench and who wasn’t involved, we have probably got the best squad of players I have seen in all my years following the Bees.

Absolute fun sponge. Well done.

Kevin Schade (Roma + Saudi Arabia links)

I only watched the highlights of the game, but it was good watching him chasing defenders down and getting stuck in. I hope he isn’t off anywhere.

I think you may be drifting into the World of fantasy, Pike.

Has he got a song? I feel like he’s been such an important player over the years yet doesn’t get much recognition during the game from fans. I guess similar to Jensen…..

A new contract, pay rise with a release clause might work for him ? Otherwise we are in a difficult position as ideally we don't want him to enter the last two years of his deal especially at his age

Clearly, evidenced by the result, but it does show an attacking/counter-attacking style that looks more coordinated than last season and that ought to cause more defensive chaos if the whole team are training on it, especially adding the overloads in support.

As I understand a release clause will be mandatory from January 2027 on all new and extended contracts. Not sure if this a factor in Kevin's agents negotiation?

It more likely that everything is on hold until the current transfer window is closed and completed; there’s then time between the windows to return to administration.
