If you were the newly appointed Half Time Onfield Fun Operations Executive at the Gtech, would you:

a). Organise a competition where two people kick a football in the general direction of the centre spot every home game, or

b). Do something else instead. If so, what would this be?

Half time Archery.
Set up some targets by the goals and some lucky contestants/ people get to fire arrows at the targets.
What could go wrong ?

I joined in the half time fun from home versus Frankfurt, I couldn't see the screen at the ground obviously, but I took my penalty and came 700th ish, what fun 🙌🏻😅

I'd do c) Nothing. And immediately abolish my irrelevant post.

Half time is for the toilet, food and drink, reading the programme, agreeing with my neighbours that we aren't going to score today and finding out via the GPG match thread that several people had trouble finding a live stream of the match

Motor Cycle Stunt Team display (ring of fire, ramps, wheelies, skids)

or the

Sprinkler Challenge, where Home and Away fans are competing to get questions correct and have to run to set points on the pitch which depict the correct answer. Answer correct you win a goodie bag (bag will be a oversized random one confiscated from the previous game consisting of an old sausage roll, unwanted club stock etc) answer wrongly and and the Sprinkler gets turned on at that point (nearly always an away fan for added fun). The winer gets to keep the goodie bag but will have the inconvenience of picking it up from the bag collection point after the game. If not collected it will roll over with more added goodies.

The Karaoke Challenge - Brentford vs the Away Team, or South vs. North stand etc. And, following Sultan's excellent idea above, with the added jeopardy of the Sprinkler. If the crowd are unimpressed, they can shout 'Soak Them! Soak Them!' Can you stay dry while singing 'I Will Survive'?

Thought I’d read last year that infringement/use of the playing area at half time was going to be barred to all but players and groundsmen for this season.

'"That's my Bling."

Volunteers from the stands are selected to try on 5 items of bling, one at a time. Each item belongs to a different first team player. Contestants have to link the bling item to the correct player, based on how bad they think their tastes are. All of this is projected on the big screens, for fans to laugh uncontrollably.

They could do a series of these, based on players' outlandish tastes. That's my car, that's my dog, that's my trousers, that's my partner...


Alternatively : "What's in the Bag?"

Based loosely on Crackerjack's 'Double or Drop'...

3 contestants are each given a club shop bag, no larger than A4 size. Quizmaster Gilham asks them questions about BFC in turn. Every time they get a question right, an item from the club shop is put in their bag. If they get it wrong, then 2 items are put in the bag. Once the bag splits, they are out of the game. The winner is the one whose bag doesn't split and they can take home the bag and its contents (key fob, pencil sharpener, chewed biro, beanie hat, a badge, maybe a replica kit (18 month toddler size).

A half time montage of "highlights" from the 2006/07 season on the big screen accompanied by the musical stylings of Radiohead (Just as an appropriate track perhaps)

So that we can remind the kids of "The Good Old Days".....

Got to be better than the current offering at the GTech surely?

I've never been sure why the Phoenix Suns had a gorilla as a mascot. He's kind of an NBA legend though.

She's definitely on the Mount Rushmore of halftime entertainers in the U.S. ... I always thought she should ramp up to "hard mode" and do her act at intermission of a hockey game. 🤣

Any BFC staff assigned a task to do for a) should immediately be diverted to help in the bars instead.

Just ensure the TV's in the bars are showing the football scores and not streaming whatever nonsense is going on outside.
