You can tell that the Mbeumo style cut in from the right or left is gonna be honed this season.
This will be, barring injuries, KLPs most significant tally in assists and goals this season.
You could see the improvement today just in movement and confidence.
Rico will be having to push hard to force his way back in.
KLP and Kayode are the starters and Rico and Hickey even when fit will have to be bide their time and be ready and waiting.

Thought he looked more confident with his left foot yesterday. Apart from the goal, a number of times he looked to cross with his left whereas previously he always seemed to want to shift onto his right.

It helps he's a Yorkshire lad, but he's so underrated.

I like Keane but struggle, for not necessarily rational reasons, to get on board with him keeping Henry and Hickey out of the side… but performances like today show why he is!

The first goal was clearly worked and he had no right to be in the box where he was from left back. Very strong at both ends of the pitch!

He's found his way in the team through sheer hard work and willingness. Wonderful first goal..his work rate, energy and conditioning is top quality. It's like having an extra player when he plays to the level he did today

The full back position is his to lose. Tenacity, skill and pace in abundance. Forget about playing forward he is a danger from the full back position. We have saved 40/million on a player who is no where near KLP .

A young player that always puts a shift in.
Keane can only get better and he will!

He was given a free role today with Janelt edging back to cover LB while in possession, Spurs were clueless how to handle him first half. Second half he played more as a traditional LB. This might be something we see at home through the season.

But otherwise he was excellent.

We are simply a better side when KLP starts at LB. Does his defensive duties but gives us so much more going forward. His crossing noticibly improved last season and he is starting to pop up with goals more frequently.

Could easily be an option for England.

You could watch any game where the left/right back allows the wingers to get in behind etc. Nobody will ever stop that 100%. But, obviously, you need to limit that as much as possible.

Its football and how goals are scored weekin week out, including ours.

Yep, the pass by Ouattara was very good through 3 defenders, I can't remember a goal where one player has started an attack, ran up the pitch, played a top 1-2 and played a great cross for a goal. KLP movement into the box was top notch and how he moved back for the cross.

No it wasn't. About 8 Bees players were involved making I think 15 passes without a Spuds player touching the ball. It's a team thing.

We're not going to agree, I just can't give credit to a ball being recycled back to a keeper as a key part of an attacking move, that's just standard part of football.

I think you've strayed far away from the point you were making that no-one disagreed with in the first place

This is the KLP thread where a little kudos is also being given to that man for his role several times through the move aside from just the finish.

Yeah I said his movement was top earlier in the thread, KA giving him freedom to roam was a big reason their midfield fumbled. Reckon it shows KA thought their attacking threat was rubbish!
