Particularly as we’d set up to mark him out of the game with Anderson. He still slipped into space, going deeper, and was creating nearly all their opportunities.

Agree. Think the heat was a factor in England giving Odegaard more time and space though..

A lot of us, myself included, like to scapegoat Schade, but if we are looking at the stats SVDB squandered a ton of opportunities too. Collins too, but not as many. Poor performance from our CBs on attacking set plays was a huge problem. Ajer deserves a shot. He's excellent at the long throw flick ons too.

But missed opportunities doesn’t detract from the partnership he was creating with Ajer.

I have to disagree.
I very rarely see Odegaard do anything other than run one way in midfield with the ball, then cut back the other way and pass backwards.
Doesnt do much to control games

Very proud of him too. The last 50 odd comments have gone in depth about the positives and reasons why people think he should start. I stated he's a great defender, but gave my reason why I don't think he is in the first XI.

I don't think he does either.. The GPG is for us to post thoughts and talk, not to try convince the gaffer. Maybe I should've said my first XI...
