July 29th, for the Leeds game. I imagine it would be at Marlay House where the Atlanta Bees normally meet, but not sure.

Posting here to hopefully get some advice and/or help.

For the “Coast to Coast” PL in USA event, Brentford chose Atlanta to have their opening weekend watch party. The Atlanta Bees group is THRILLED by this, but it seems there has been a major disconnect with the club. As some may know, Brentford is partnered with Swarm FC, which is in the metro Atlanta area, but it’s a decent bit out, and they are listed as the official host site on the PL website where you sign up (Coast to Coast | Register of Interest). Not necessarily on Swarm, but their ground (where they are hosting the event) is also in a pretty sketchy area, and would not be very encouraging for the person looking to become a new fan. However, when we went to advertise the event, Swarm informed us that this event was invite only (they have a sketchy past as well, according to many soccer coaches in the area) and this is NOT meant to be the case based on communication with the club and the intent of the event posted by the PL. It seems that the new representative of the club just let Swarm do all the planning and cannibalize our event (this would not have happened in the past, our contact left for Chelsea this offseason), and now we have an official event that is closed off and seems to be gatekeeping people who wish to become fans. On top of all this, every other venue listed on the website is at a pub in the middle of the chosen major city, whereas the Swarm grounds are an hour plus from some of the regular Atlanta Bees. We would like to host the event somewhere accessible for all of Atlantians, rather than doing it in a sketch area well out of town.

Would anyone have any words of wisdom on what to do here? If nothing else, we will just have our own event and promote that instead of the official event that Swarm has taken over. Thanks for any and all help!
