As I said I think there's a chance we end up with a frustratingly small allocation of 2,000-2,500... about half of that South stand, or slightly over. Reading fans will not be that excited about this especially after our result last night and they won't be excited us having half the crowd either. Don't shoot the messenger. I will be as delighted as anyone if they give us 4,000.

A long time ago they let away fans have the run of that south stand.

But they have season ticket holders in the south stand too now. Plenty of clubs that go there get peeved at the small allocations for league games. "Why don't you give us more when you can't sell the other stands"

They could easily shift Reading's league fixture though, it'll be up to Sky how they want the games split. Last year they played four ties in the first week and 12 in the second week, though.

"At the north end, the Eamonn Dolan Stand holds 4,946 supporters, while directly opposite, the slightly smaller South Stand accommodates 4,350. Away fans are situated in the southeast corner of the South Stand, with a typical [League] allocation of just over 2,300."

Bees should be guaranteed the whole of the South = 4,350, I'd have thought, but should we have a bigger take-up, I wonder do they have the facility to accommodate the away allocation further round the corner into either the East or West (touchline) Stands?

Incidentally: "A video screen towers above the visiting supporters, and the remainder of the stand is reserved for home members, including safe-standing areas for those who prefer to watch the game on their feet."

just be careful not to get too excited as you might turn up on the night and become slightly annoyed with the team sheet and lack of tsking the cup seriously
