Just wanted to thank all the members,fans,contributors and admin for the amazing sentiments that have been expressed on this forum not only now but ever since my son became a Bee which meant that the whole family became Bees.
I have been an avid reader of the GPG and always wanted to post something on here but was wary of possibly been bias.
Some of the things that have been said on this thread have left me tearing up.Thank you all so much for being so positive about my son(mostly).This club has left its mark on the whole family.

A model professional, a good human and a Rolls Royce of a player who has been a pleasure to watch. His humble beginnings in football and his growth through the leagues will have rung a chord with many of us.

There was a lovely dressing room clip posted by the club in (I think) Thomas Frank’s final season. Thomas lauding Ethan for a perfect performance after a spell out of the starting XI, and Ethan sitting there looking all bashful while his teammates cheered.

That summed up Ethan perfectly for me. Quality, consistency, willingness to give everything for the team, humility and the utmost respect of those around him.

What a guy. @Pinny - you have raised a son to be truly proud of.

@Pinny, it was literally yesterday morning I was chatting with my mrs about players reading the GPG. She said that they must, I said they're probably too young for it but the parents might... I can't believe how quickly you proved me correct! (and perhaps her too)

Ethan is a Rolls Royce of a centre back....Ethan Pinnock, Rico Henry and Josh Da Silva are all part of a special club in the hearts of Brentford fans which is a rare club in modern Football. Everything for the club, everything for the team, everything for the fans and done with class. Well done for raising such a gentleman.

We'll miss your son and he'll be Hall of famer no doubt.

Ah what a message. Ethan has given our club some of the most incredible years supporting our wonderful football club and he was part of the journey to where we are today. His contribution to not only the playing side but off the pitch has been wonderful and he should without doubt be inducted in our bees Hall of fame of legends.
We will miss those wonderful headers, incredible goal saving sliding tackles and that smile. He is a credit to you as a person and himself and a bloody good footballer.
Thank you to Ethan for his great service and we wish him well at Coventry and hope one day Ethan and Pontus can reunite at the club isn some capacity.

There are some players who can be guaranteed to come back to the club to an outpouring of love and respect - Ethan is one of those.

It isn't just the massive role he played in getting us out of the Championship, and establishing ourselves, as a club, in the Premier League; it's his incredible journey as a player, and what that represents to everyone who understands the game. That doesn't happen often these days, and it is the biggest testament to his mentality and professionalism to have risen to the top of the game in the way he did, and at the stage in his career.

Big Eth has been an amazing player for us - a great influence on the pitch, calm, committed, always leading by example in attitude and effort, as well as being one of the best defenders I've ever seen in a Bees shirt.

You and your family must be incredibly proud of him Mr. Pinnock! As we all are - Ethan really does feel like one of our own.

I imagine many of us will be quietly supporting Coventry to stay up this season with Ethan and Frank the Tank in their squad.

It's impossible to wish anything but the best for Ethan, and to thank him for everything he gave Brentford FC, on and off the pitch. A Brentford Legend

A bona fide legend. Humble and gentle by nature but an absolute monster in the centre of defence and a massive part of the Bees success over the last 7 years. Ethan will get a very warm welcome whenever he comes back to Brentford and best of luck to him at Cov.

I remember him walking past me in Chiswick a few years ago as he was on the way to see one of his sons playing football at Rocks Lane (Premier League footballer, on his own, no airs and graces at all). I was so surprised that I reflexively gave him a jab on the arm and said "Ethan you are an absolute legend!". He laughed at my reaction and asked if I could show him where the entrance was.

Another example of why I love this club so much! A lovely message to read and you must be incredibly proud of your son. He's had an incredible few years here and he's been part of the greatest Brentford team and period of sustained success that I've seen in my (46 year) lifetime. So many great memories of Ethan and hope he's a success at Coventry as well!

Your son Ethan is a credit to the footballing industry.
He started at Dulwich Hamlet (I believe) worked hard, and got a chance in the professional game. He took that chance with both hands and i am sure will continue that at Coventry.
Whilst at Brentford, he never let the team down and always put a shift in.
It is always sad when a well respected player leaves a club .
Ethan will always be welcome back at the Gtech. I am sure that at some stage he will be inducted into Brentford's Hall of Fame.

@Pinny - I hope you get the chance to pass on to Ethan the measure of how much he is respected and loved by the Brentford fanbase.

There are many players who have worn the badge with distinction and honour and have been fan favourites. But I don’t believe I’m exaggerating when I say that there are none who rank higher than Ethan in the affection and esteem in which he is held. He has been fantastic on the pitch during our greatest years, but also the embodiment of all the values that have created the culture at Brentford that makes it so special. The word legend gets bandied around too lightly these days, but no one is more deserving it than Ethan.

Ethan personally but he seems a lovely humble guy at a time when there are so many flash harry footballers.
I really believe they could do a film of his journey and life story, only downside for us we didn't sign him when he was at FGR we would have the pleasure
of having him for a bit longer.

Ethan has always been the absolute professional, and by all accounts, incredibly humble too. He was the absolute rock of our back line, and I know I speak for everyone else here when I say that he'll be greatly missed.

I had the pleasure of a chat with Ethan at the training ground in April. I have a friend who is a Barnsley fan and Ethan just came across as a very grounded individual, a top top lad who is living the dream. We all wish him well at Coventry, if only there were more of his calibre in the game and in life in general….. Sir, you should be very proud of your son. Maybe he’ll rejoin us one day as a member of the coaching staff. He will be missed for his smile alone, he never let us down and has gained legendary status here.

Ethan is a model professional and human being. Whilst his leaving is sad, the memories he leaves us with are priceless. The humble way he goes about his business on the pitch, the smile when he scores and the tales of being a gentlemen off the pitch explain why he is a firm fan favourite and can rightly be called a Bees Legend.

The best defender I saw in a Bees shirt in my 40-odd years of supporting the club. Should have won dozens of England caps. Undoubtedly one of the most underrated players in the PL for many years. Fortunately the 'big clubs' were too blind to see it.
