They're a real sorry outfit these days, honestly cant think of anything notable happening for them in the last 10 years or so - when did they lose to Huddersfield in the P/O final on penalties? We should hammer these, even with lots of changes.

The most notable thing that happened to them was getting rid of that dodgy owner.

However, not many years back Brentford were the 'underdogs' in such matches.
Through life, I have always said cup football is a great leveller.
Over the years I have seen Brentford win as the underdogs.
Brentford should see this one over the line though with the current team / squad.

Remember many of our lot including those that go to away PL are relatively recent fans and as such may not be as excited as us more seasoned ones who will travel to cup lower round cup games and know the history. Hopefully sensible pricing and good kick off time will.help.

No need. Your card is valid to Reading as long as you use the Lizzie line. I’ve used Reading as a start point for trains to eg, B’mouth and Soton games. Cheaper.

Only for us old sods though, young folks need still to pay from West Drayton.

Oh I think you will be surprised. Both my son and I cheered when that draw came out last night. You'll get a lot of old school Bees come out for this one plus it's an easy trip. We always took great numbers there even when we were average.

From Reading Station to Reading Green Park: Take the GWR stopping service heading towards Basingstoke. Reading Green Park is the very next stop (or second, depending on whether it calls at Reading West first). That leg takes only about 6 to 7 minutes, according to Network Rail.

There used to be matchday parking near the ground. Takes an age to get out afterwards though but it's just up the road and you can always get a cheeky McDonald's on the way back to the car.

Wrong on both counts.

Over 60 gets you to West Drayton ie edge of Zone 6. It's the Freedom pass that gets you to Reading.

60+Oyster cards are for London residents over 60 that don't yet qualify for the Freedom pass

This is not true.

A 60+ Oyster card is for residents of London who are over 60 but not yet able to get a Freedom card because they are below state pension age. It is not valid beyond West Drayton.

SWR beyond you need a National Rail ticket. No contactless/oyster.

Pay as you go with contactless extension | South Western Railway
