I'm still celebrating.Well that saves me wasting a day of holiday. Absolutely no way I'm watching the Superbowl with the Pats involved. I swear the NFL gods hate me

Threw for 86 yardsI'm still celebrating.

The"big error" wasn't the Broncos going for it on 4th and 1, it was Stidham inexpiably throwing the ball backwards to gift the Patriots 7 points.I loved both games. Two completely different ways to play. The chess match of that first game and backing your defence, I found that enthralling.
Ultimately both came down to one bad error, Broncos should have taken the kick to go up 10-0 and the Rams special team receiver having a brain fart
Doesn't Coventry have a roof?Thats already been said - they wont play the Superbowl in a cold place ( Metlife, Linc, Lumen ) because the big money boys wont sit in the cold.
Thats also why London will never get a Superbowl
The NFL has even hinted that Charlotte - a city in the South with a relatively mild winter climate - won't ever get the Super Bowl because it's too cold. Other than the one time they put it at Metlife Stadium a few years ago, if it ever is held outside the Sun Belt, it's in a dome (Minneapolis, Detroit).Thats already been said - they wont play the Superbowl in a cold place ( Metlife, Linc, Lumen ) because the big money boys wont sit in the cold.

Even if the Broncos kick the 3 points the game finishes 10-10 and they most likely lose it in OT as they have no running game and you can't pass the ball in that weather.
Pats are on par with Fulham for meWhy not?
Maybe the Seahawks trying to run the ball this time?![]()
We needed 7s not 3s to win that game, we didn't sniff the red zone again during the game. You'll notice that Vrabel also went for it on 4th and 1 in the red zone later in the game. The decision not to go for a field goal was a massive error regardless of what followed. It was always going to be a low scoring game and a blizzard must have been forecast. Without a running game, Denver was always going to be at a disadvantage in that scenario. They needed to get every point they could while they had the chance. I'd say turning down three points then was at least equally inexplicable compared to Stidham's split second decision later in the game.

The problem was the play call/execution not the decision to go for it.
Imagine that!Doesn't Coventry have a roof?
Perhaps that was by design? Stidham couldn't pick them out in the snow.Snowing in Denver. Ball needs to be more orange. Can’t even see the Patriot players as their white kit blending into the snow covered pitch
Can you believe there are children who have never seen a Patriots Super Bowl match??Well that saves me wasting a day of holiday. Absolutely no way I'm watching the Superbowl with the Pats involved. I swear the NFL gods hate me

Know what they call someone who throws for 86 yards? AFC Champion.Threw for 86 yards
Rubbish take. When has Foolham won the league? And Patriots fans are majority blue-collar.Pats are on par with Fulham for me

QPR + Jets are a more likely combo.Well @RT's a Bills fan, so given the divisional rivalry, him equating Pats to Fulham for him tracks.
Success-wise, Pats are most like Man United. Just a shame for the rest of us that it appears their lean years since Belichick and Brady left are going to be rather short-lived, unlike when Fergie and co f***ed off from that basket case.
He said nothing about the fan but since you brought it up, all NFL franchises have a majority "blue collar" fanbase, most of whom either can't afford to and/or don't bother attending games regularly because it's largely a TV sport now.
Sincerely,
a Jets fan... and Pats are on a par with QPR for me!

Pats are like the Bees - hopeless for decades but now evident that they are by far the greatest team the world has ever seen!Well @RT's a Bills fan, so given the divisional rivalry, him equating Pats to Fulham for him tracks.

This has made me realize that I'm not hating to my full potential.Wide spread disbelief across the US sporting world that Belichick didn’t get selected to the Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility.
The Colts have won more AFC East titles than the Jets and they haven't been in the East since 2001.Well done for giving it the ol' college try. Bless your heart
I don't know how I feel about so many North Carolinians (including my wife) openly pulling for the Patriots because of Drake Maye. Can you believe there are children who have never seen a Patriots Super Bowl match??![]()
I hate the tarheels even more than I do chelsea, fulham, and qpr, and just as much as I hate the yankees. I am a native New Englander and lifelong Patriots fan.I don't know how I feel about so many North Carolinians (including my wife) openly pulling for the Patriots because of Drake Maye.
Oh I remember. lol... but even though my wife is a Carolina grad, she HATES the Patriots and she hates Belichick even more... So this about-face has been jarring to say the least.I hate the tarheels even more than I do chelsea, fulham, and qpr, and just as much as I hate the yankees. The same thing happened in NC when Phillip Rivers went to San Diego and when Russell Wilson went to Seattle.
There’s no preseason for established starters anymore. Times change. It diminishes the quality of play the first few weeks of the season, that’s for sure.Pre-season week 3 used to be the dress rehearsal game, when the starters got a long run-out. I didn't think reducing the pre-season from 4 games to 3 would change that.
But after the first few games of week 3, the Rams' and the Patriots' starters didn't play at all in the 3 games, while the Bills', Chargers' and 49ers' offences were only seen for a couple of drives in week 1 or week 2.
I can see how Matt Stafford needs to be swathed in cotton wool wrapped in bubblewrap and kept safely in a padded room, but for a youngster like Omarion Hampton get just one carry in 3 games seems bonkers.
