Would be hilarious but can’t see it happening.

Not sure we need him however he has the tools to become a very very good midfielder if, unlike at Spurs, he plays his actual position.

I guess it’s worth a go, even if it’s unlikely to come off without overpaying.

I recon the rumour was started by a Spurs fan who was peed off by him being named captain in their Gtech debacle!

With the number of players coming back from injury, de Zerbie may not see him as an automatic starter, just my opinion, but I agree with others in do we really need him ?

I feel like a high potential 8/cdm for post Jensen and extra rotation option for sangare would be useful? Plus one of my greatest pleasures in football is schadenfreude at Spurs, so for that reason it's a win-win. He's 20, and has been on loan at a relegation-threatened premier league club -- ought to have toughened him up :)

I'd say yes. It's a tough area of the pitch and we already have players recovering from major injuries there plus another having a condition managed.

Seems super unlikely anyway. We’ve spent £100m this window almost, and I’d imagine LW is probably next highest up our list of targets. I’m sure we love Gray still and wished he’d signed but he’s not exactly pushed on as Spurs would have liked and they’d want more than what they paid I’d imagine.

That's just a silly question. It's never "never"

If he wants to come for minimum wage and Spurs don't need a fee, then (luckily) he's still under 21 and doesn't take one of the 25 squad slots....

Of course it’s never never, but there’s a whole range of different options before you get to never. Was asking for a bit more insight on where that might be if you had it.

I don't have that insight. But if I were perfect at reading between the lines I would say that we are surprised to be linked.

He isn’t a right back or certainly not a right back as that position is played today but can see a quality footballer and definitely could be a high quality midfielder , there is no way at present he is playing there for Spurs and De Zerbi will replace him at right back when can. All highly unlikely but not impossible.

I think he got quality and potential… but somehow someway I do not see him as a player that would fit here. He can be sort of a Jensen, but I do not think he has the same tools on the ball as Mathias

He is not good enough at the moment but that does not mean he does not have potential to develop with us. I doubt we sign him in this window.

He's special enough that BFC were prepared to pay what would have been a club record fee not long ago. For a teenager!

I don't see it happening though. Spurs will want too much money. And he wouldn't get in our first 11 at the moment!

If he is being played as a midfielder instead of RB, then would it be to replace someone like Jensen who is entering last year of contract.
We always plan ahead, try get in season before etc.
But then it's a weak rumour so it's literally guess work by everyone.

And no, I'm not angling for Jensen to leave. Far from it.

This is very true.
Theyve spent so much this summer that they cant afford to let go on the cheap.
