Unlikely Archie Gray (Mid, 20, Spurs Captain) (3 Viewers)

Confirmation that a rumoured move is unlikely to happen.

I absolutely cannot see this happening, BUT would love it if it did happen. 20, seen as a leader at spurs, versatile and talented.

It’s not even a PSR thing as he’s not a spurs youth product (like Gallagher leaving Chelsea).

I do think the closing of this transfer window will be bonkers though.

Good that it does not happen. He is nothing special.
On the, admittedly very limited, evidence I've seen, I agree. Just doesn't look like a footballer to me.

(Cue him going on to the become the next Sergio Busquets)

It does seem to be moving into the bat-sh*t crazy final 3 days... although the clickbaiters seem to be on another level this time around, too.

Similar player to Aaron Hickey, can’t see that we’d really want both

We could use more depth for if any of Yarmo, Vita or Sangaré get injured, but I doubt the current Spurs captain would be happy with that role haha

I cant see this happening at the moment. But the lad is 20 and we plan well ahead across multiple transfer windows as we all know. To be continued? Maybe.

I don't get the hype, same with bergvall. Always talked up but never see them have more than a 7/10 game
Maybe it's because he's in such a poor side but I've yet to see him put in an outstanding performance.

This is a bullet that should remain dodged.
One of their only players to come out of last season with any credit. Played well at CB in their 2-0 win at ours a couple of years ago

Well they have never seemed to play him in his best position imo.

He could probably have saved them £85M 👍

We would piss PL2 with him in the team 🤣

Archie Gray is worth half a Sangaré. 20 million, take it or leave it.

Wasn’t the West Ham chap “unlikely” as well?
Diouf was unlikely but we were interested and had made bids. In this case we apparently were surprised to be linked - no bid has been made

Not saying he's a bad player but not worth what Tottenham would ask. Still a year or so away from being good enough to start for us.

If he was available for say £10-15m I'd be happy to take a punt and see if we could bring him on. But that's not the case, so yes a bullet well dodged given that we had bid something like £40m?

Players who consistently put in 7/10 performances week in week out are gold dust. I think he's a very good player. He's tidy, he knows his basics extremely well. I think he'd be a great asset.

Spurs captain with 54 PL and 8 champions League appearances at the age of 20 and you want him for £10-15m?

This isn't 1996 😂

Well I certainly don't want him for £40m. If he was at a middle ranking European club his likely fee would indeed be around £15m. Not every average player costs a fortune even now. Take Jaidon Anthony for example. A better player and we got him for £17m. Or Schuster -at a similar level and £20m.

I'm not saying I expect him at £15m, merely that for someone at his current level id want him only at a modest price, one that was on a par with other similar players on the market. And that's unlikely because Tottenham would want much more.

Good player he’d be brilliant for us,can’t see the fee being reasonable at all though and probably find better value elsewhere

I was surprised we were interested in him first time round for £40m+ as he would not have been an automatic starter then with Norgaard in a similar position.

Schuster has not played at a similar level. The Austrian League is miles below the Premier League.

If you think Jaidon Anthony and Archie Gray have similar potential then I'll disagree with you and leave it there.

Was it £40 million? I doubt it, probably hiked up to placate the Leeds morons.

Archie Gray (Mid, 20, Spurs Captain)

Doubt he is on huge wages. Even if Leeds sold him for same as bought him they would make a book profit as two years of that cost would have been amortised. An odd rumour have to say unless Spurs really are looking at their options.
