I think he's happy doing media duties for a while. I'm sure he has some arrangement with the BBC that he can leave without issue if he takes up another managerial job.

I like shearer…he’s a fan not just a player and always says nice things about us…he’s probs the best pundit on tele still by a million miles 😉

I hope you are all ready to count how many times Shearer says "he should have scored" this season.

The way he goes on you'd think he never missed a chance.

He's always liked us. When we smashed Newcastle you'd think it would be Newcastle this Newcastle that. But he was very complimentary.
He's not my favourite pundit, cliche ridden at times but he will always praise us instead of x team were awful.

A surprisingly nice amount of 'Brentford were good' rather than purely 'Tottenham were bad'. Good balance but more focussed on us and Shearer pulled it back onto us a couple of times.

Started last season. All the MOTD highlights from the day’s games, sans analysis, were/are available at 20:00 that evening.
Many were speculating last season that it would spell the demise of the actual linear TV program but doesn’t seem to have come to pass.

I think we had that last season, but I notice we had over 10mins of highlights, at lot more than the other games, of course I understand why (y)
