I was going to say I would have Harry Wilson, only to stop him scoring against us, but we cant play him cos the **** would probably resort to type and end up scoring an own goal!

Also… he may be annoying, but is he really better then what we have?

I think Stach is great but would he really get in our 11?

Really disappointed (but perhaps not surprised) with this podcast (The Times) last week when reviewing our game v Spurs. They fell into the easy lazy populist trap of 10 minutes chat about the state of Spurs and 30 seconds on our performance. I had hoped for better from this source 🤷

A Brentford pitch to a player has the same effect. There has been a video of Bryan Mbeumo circulating this week where he discussed how we watched all of his Ligue 2 matches and knew all of his strengths and weaknesses.

The same would have happened with Sangare. Notwithstanding his excellent season we’d have pitched his strengths, weaknesses, how we will develop him, how he fits into the team, how we’re patient with developing players and what his end point might be.

The work of Phil Giles, Lee Dykes and everyone who pulls this detail together would have been exceptional. We can’t rely on being the biggest club in the world who can throw silly money at players whether they succeed or flop. It’s been said before: we can’t outspend clubs so we out-think them.

That’s why Sangare is a Brentford player.

Didn't Diouf say the same yesterday, that the club had highlighted where he could improve that he wasn't aware of!

Certainly dont want us compared to be like the charlton who were competing well, holding their own in the prem, mid to top half, then get too big for their boots, hounded the manager out then plummet down the leagues with dodgy owners and finances.

I dont want us compared to any club that have dodgy owners who dont care for their clubs, or be willing for the club to go under to say but we won something.

We have the right owner, and the right way of going about everything.
Where that takes us i dont know, shy is the limit, but i feel safe believing we have a safety net in place for all scenarios.

Something these other plummeting clubs dont/didnt have.

Ok revert to Blackburn champions great owner left in a decent position bit of a championship existence now with potential every now and again for promotion that would do me. What are you building the financial reserves for take a punt and win a trophy

They have a football section which is very big6 heavy. Very strictly moderated though , I had a post edited for Spuds instead of Spurs😳

Have you tried ‘Spurts’ instead? I prefer it, though admittedly they’ve definitely started the season like ‘Spuds’….

That first half we were so good. Trying to really take it all in at the moment and understand what an incredible squad we have.
Very rarely in football do two halves go the same way, but we were so dominant that it forced them into changes. That’s football.
Sangare, my god we need to enjoy him, what an incredible player.

I think that’s probably the Square Ball. Unsarcastically they said we were the best team they’d played at Elland Road after Arsenal.

Agreed. Outside the ground got chatting to a couple of alright Leeds fans who were unbelievably complimentary about us.

Also the BBC match comments pages full of Leeds fans giving us our props. Very strange feeling.....
