Transfer Discussion including Suggestions (Brentford Only)
If that happens I think we would require another one in
Personally, I'm not convinced Carvalho is right for us. But why on earth would we loan him out, when it is perhaps one area on the field we are lighter than others?!Isn’t carvalho of to hull ?View attachment 68640View attachment 68640
Absolutely yesIf that happens I think we would require another one in
Agree, just runs down another year of his contract and makes no sense without an extension as it reduces his value. If he doesn’t fit, then look to move on permanently, but I think he’ll be a useful player this year and will finally make his mark, albeit is going to take him a few months.why on earth would we loan him out, when it is perhaps one area on the field we are lighter than others?!
I agree. I can imagine Carvalho moving on eventually if not a good a good fit here but it would be a surprise for him not to stay in the first team squad at this stage.Personally, I'm not convinced Carvalho is right for us. I can't say I'm against this to be honest. The lad has been out for a while & a season at a PL club will get him fitter & stronger than a season of sitting on our bench and playing the odd minute here or there.Isn’t carvalho of to hull ?View attachment 68640View attachment 68640
He's got a video to record...
Hopefully Carvalho can offer real competition for the advanced midfield role and may well be Hickey will start to play more minutes in CDM role. And we need YY up to speed sooner rather than later, but in essence I agree with you although we don’t tend to do last minute deals so see it as unlikely.I agree, but another midfielder wouldn’t go amiss![]()
Im with you, let him go I reckon.I can't say I'm against this to be honest. The lad has been out for a while & a season at a PL club will get him fitter & stronger than a season of sitting on our bench and playing the odd minute here or there.
My only concern, is that despite Hull's fantastic start, just how much of an influence will he be at a club that will predominantly be on the back foot.
We almost always only agree loans for senior players with an equivalent extension. Done that fairly frequently, wouldn’t imagine it’d be a blocker here.Agree, just runs down another year of his contract and makes no sense without an extension as it reduces his value. + MattiThink we're done for incoming. Would love Kevin to sign an extension though to top off a wonderful window
Also, please keep transfer rumours to the transfer window forum until deals are confirmed. On today of all days, please keep transfers of players between other clubs to the correct thread.
News of all non-BFC transfers here please.

Normally, transfer extensions are sorted after Phil has returned from his transfer window R&R and reviews the squad.Think we're done for incoming. Would love Kevin to sign an extension though to top off a wonderful window
Lyall suggesting that Meghoma to Portsmouth is the only expected deal today.

Best leave that to them.I would’ve liked to have found suitors for Soo and Nunes.
Hopefully that means they've got an opportunity in the first team squad. No Pinnock means Kim Ji-Soo steps up for example, if he's fit now? Had two injuries in Germany according to Wiki.I would’ve liked to have found suitors for Soo and Nunes.
I’m not convinced. When SvdB is back that’ll be Collins, SvdB, Ajer and Schuster ahead of him. Would need a CB injury crisis for him to even make the bench. No Pinnock means Kim Ji-Soo steps up for example, if he's fit now?

Nunes might be harder to understand as it sounds like the loan wasn't that successful.
The match reports from the behind closed doors friendlies suggested he had a really good pre season, and personally thought he was quite impressive when watching the U21s yesterday.Nunes might be harder to understand as it sounds like the loan wasn't that successful.
While he's not back, just another injury and a red card away from being on the pitch.I’m not convinced. When SvdB is back that’ll be Collins, SvdB, Ajer and Schuster ahead of him. Would need a CB injury crisis for him to even make the bench.
Or yellow perilI’m not convinced. When SvdB is back that’ll be Collins, SvdB, Ajer and Schuster ahead of him. Would need a CB injury crisis for him to even make the bench.
A week ago some people were saying maybe we couldn't afford to let Pinnock go in case another player joined Sepp on the treatment tableI’m not convinced. When SvdB is back that’ll be Collins, SvdB, Ajer and Schuster ahead of him. Would need a CB injury crisis for him to even make the bench.
Phil is probably at home with a large glass of red.Very chill todaymight be a loan or 2 but I dont see any major ins or outs now which is lovely.
Don’t think he finished drinking since he signed Sangare!Phil is probably at home with a large glass of red.![]()
yeah good point , a not fully experienced, fit Furo and an experienced finisher like Calum is better than flogging a knackered IgorFuro staying is sensible for everyone. Wilson is still a very good finisher but injury prone and 34, so I'd be surprised if he starts many games this season. We should manage Thiago's minutes much more than we did last season, when he looked knackered by May, and that means having two CFs in reserve, one at each end of their career. I fancy us for cup runs this season which will provide more opportunities.
We’re after winning Premier League 2 alsoI would’ve liked to have found suitors for Soo and Nunes.

Lets not forget we are in the EFL trophy this year too as a cat 1 academy. It would be just us too not win it when in the lower leagues with are first team and now win it with our youngstersWe’re after winning Premier League 2 also
Ghoddos wasn’t a panic signing, we’d tracked him a long time. I’d say we never make a “panic” signing IMO.Today sure is a far cry from the deadline day panic signings of Maupay and Ghoddos.
The second coming was a bit of a surprise though!Ghoddos wasn’t a panic signing, we’d tracked him a long time. I’d say we never make a “panic” signing IMO.
Assumed so, not linked with anyone today and probably the only PL team with zero airtime.. under the radar we fly.Do you think PG has put his phone on silent , shut his office door and enjoying a well earned tipple in a pub overlooking the river , enjoying a superb transfer window ?
