Looks like the Balogun deal is back on.

If they’re proceeding after identifying a material issue in the medical, more fool them.

It's not just that, but they've just sold their fullbacks BEFORE THEY SIGNED REPLACEMENTS. They have no fullbacks. They're trying to sign Maitland-Niles, ffs. What a shambles.

Everton are in a right mess, the owners will expect Europe as a minimum and that is going to put huge pressure on Moyes. There seems no real strategy about their recruitment. it is just a collection of players who Moyes has to mould into a winning team ASAP.

It’s gone from 70m to 140m in about 2 years, how can any team afford to spend double their TV money on one player. Surely their other income isn’t in the billion s a year they need to furnish these deals, the sign ons, the agent fees and the salaries.

It surely has to go kaput at some point.

The only ‘cemented’ Prem side I thought might be in trouble this season was Fulham.

But depending on whether Moyes has been pushed to his limit and might even walk, their season could easily unravel.

They still have that strong back line and in Garner and Chris have a strong midfield but even so.

Hard to imagine this disaster won’t be reflected in the next 5 games or so

Even If Everton had brought in 10 attackers during the transfer window... they'd still be the most anti football side in the EPL....but now... it'll be off the scale... rename them ten men behind the ball FC...or Turgid FC for short.... should have happened years ago.

I think the fact they sold him when not having a RB says it all about his ability or lack of

Maybe, but if getting a dud off the books was the only option, you'd have to ask why did they paid £11m + add-ons for him in the first place - a not-inconsiderable sum for a 20 y.o. with precisely 13 SPL appearances for Rangers under his belt?

Chelsea sold and loaned 39 players overall they are £120m up on sales to buys, which is effectively Fernandez fee, so were level par without his sale.
