Think you have the ceiling and floor analogy the wrong way round. Wilson will improve the level of our 'Worse' players - the floor, Sangare will increase the level of our 'Best' players - the ceiling.

Good section on the concept in this book, although it is a little outdated now - The Numbers Game

Usually enjoy these but this one seemed needlessly negative about us all over the place. Perhaps some of us are getting a little bit entitled. Maybe rein it in a bit.

I thought it was a very good podcast, impressed with the guest from Leeds (part 2).

Part 1 - I got the impression we optimistic for the season ahead but we need to be careful we not getting too excited, too soon. Although we have scored an impressive 20 goals in 4 matches and probably have our best squad since the war.

Interesting pod. Always enjoy listening so keep it going. Couple of thoughts. Firstly, a little bit early to be making a judgement on Schuster - he had a pretty solid game with one error. Secondly, I think you guys need to lay off our forwards and accept that almost all wingers will be 'in and out' and have quiet games. It's the nature of the position. This was also the case with Bryan until his final season.

The best of the Brentford podcasts.
Fully agree with comments on being potentially ‘thin’ at centre back - few seem to agree.
However, I think Collins is a better player than was suggested.

Decent listen as always. (Slightly baffled by some of the comments about it being too negative, too optimistic, too entitled etc and the advice to 'rein it in' 🤷‍♂️ )

Having listened to the first few minutes of this (you tube), you might want to edit the very bad language out. I dont think it will down too well at all with the club or some other supporter groups!.

I was catching up with last week episodes, and decided to give it a go ro the Spurs preview one, even though I knew the result.
Some comments from the guest, his optimism and expectations for the season, knowing the results of the first two games, are really funny :-D

The second 'Tweet of the Week' from the Leeds' fan that said "I don't care how good Brentford have got, you don't let them come to your stadium and boss you about" was much better 😆

I think there's maybe some confusion if you haven't listened to it but I suspect it isn't the swearing in isolation that's the issue (it's generally quite infrequent), it was the context of it. There's a couple of minutes at the beginning where they're doing 'tweet of the week' about what someone tweeted about not just wanting to dance with Sangare but *other things* if he gets us into Europe. That was the bit that had me reaching for the skip button on the Sonos whilst listening with the kids around, not the odd swear word.

100% correct. It was inappropiate at best and offensive at worse, banter between mates is fine but they broadcasting to a wider audience, which includes familly and children.

It’s their podcast they can do what they like, and everyone is free to take their listening custom elsewhere.

A warning at the start of anything with bad language could be helpful I suppose, and seeing as they have advertisers and are probably monetised by YouTube they could be at risk of losing that.

I prefer it to the other brentford podcasts, but the more the merrier as far as I’m concerned

Is it the part with the reference to the "Wolf of Wall Street"? Which has a similar inappropriate and best, and offensive at worse, comment? Did you complain to Scorsese about it too, as I am sure it had a bigger audience (probably because Scorsese does not sing he is a bus stop in Queen's)
