Didn't realise current CC match between Surrey and Essex is being covered by Sky.
Might watch a bit of Day 3 later. But not sure how many viewers they'll get, as it's not been overly exciting so far.

Correct, it hasn't been very exciting. When I've had it on, I've been watching it with about as much interest as a screen saver.

First bit partially completed - 472 all out. Lead of 63.
Think the way the wicket is playing, and Surrey's lack of spin option(s) make the 2nd bit unlikely....

How easy is it get tickets at Guildford?

Not tried for public tickets but I'd have thought its difficult. Guildford is the only fixture in the calendar where members have to reserve a ticket in advance. That's not necessary even for T20 Blast fixtures at The Oval. There are even sanctions threatened for members who book a ticket but don't attend (sound familiar?).

I thought it was a decent performance from the Surrey reserve team yesterday

They just seemed to find the fielders in the deep at just the wrong time

Should have made it to above 300

Yep at 193-2 they were looking set for decent score. Losing 7 wickets for 77 was below par especially when the outfield was small and as you said very quick. I don't think the Guildford track was that easy to score on. Leicester might think otherwise though.
The One Hundred competition has a lot to answer for with Surrey losing 17 players to it if I read correctly...

Well that was so much better
Finally a win at Guildford

Game changer was the accidental run out by Floros with about 12 overs to go just as Northants were building a big stand and heading for 300
then 2 balls later he bowled the other batsman

Great Powerplay of 85 for 0 set up the win

This was the first ever win by Surrey at Guildford in a full 50 over game here since the Franchise started in 2021 leaving a Surrey Academy and 2nd X1 team playing each season

Very surprised we've won 2 out of 3 games with 17 players missing. Adam Thomas looks very good, think he will eventually replace Burns as our next opener in red ball cricket.

Incredible finish to an incredible game at the oval. Surrey 187-9 win by 1 wicket. Josh Blake with the stand out innings of 43 not out off of 187 balls.

I'm not sure about that, the final session aged me a few years I reckon.

I don't know if you watched it but with 8 to win Nabi hit a massive 6 over mid wicket. Game over I thought but then next ball he slogged it up in the air leaving 2 to win with 1 wicket left.

What followed was 11 dot balls with several plays and misses but Worrall finally slapped one over cover.

Big sigh of relief as I think we'd have been deep in relegation trouble with a loss today.

I hope Somerset gets the title. I remember Middlesex v Yorkshire at Lords. A draw would give Somerset their first title - but the captains got together and agreed a total. Middlesex fortunately came out on top ( from an 'anyone but Yorkshire' point of view) but I would not have minded Somerset getting the title.

Yes, I did watch it. It got very nervy at the end after Nabi hit that 6 and tried to win it with another, only to get himself out with a skier. I was then convinced that Surrey would lose, but thankfully Dan hit the winning boundary.

There was a good moment at the end where Surrey needed 1 I think and Bairstow attempted an underarm run out, the crowd gave him some stick and he was laughing along.
