Referee Watch 2026/27
See the post above yours.Do you still think that?
On paper it was one of the better appointments.

That’s right. Zero consequences for this poor performance. We won't hear anything unless he does a David Coote though?
Appalling!!!!Comfortably the worst ref we’ve had in prem
Of these three, did the on field "ref" get any of them wrong?3 big decisions today:
1. Sunderland disallowed goal in first half - i think we're a bit fortunate there as Kelleher isn't getting close to that. But probably the right call as he's in the line of sight of the keeper.
2. Our disallowed goal - only seen the one replay but it looks harsh on us. Anthony seems to get to the ball at the same time as the keeper so how can he can have the ball in his control?
3. IMO this is clearer than the first two and it's a penalty for me and not great defending from KLP.

Did he ref us last season?Certainly liked blowing his whistle.
Recall him being quite good last season when we had him
So.more s*it decisions from him then...One and two
If he's one of the "better" ones, I cant wait for those that are worse! One of the better appointments.
Random moments of extreme lenience surrounded by lots of very very soft decisions.Just a horrible way to referee a game, no thought given to allowing a game to flow.
I haven't seen either of the last two so can't comment yet. However, having seen the disallowed goal on the big screen, I'm staggered that was a decision that took over 5 minutes.Random moments of extreme lenience surrounded by lots of very very soft decisions.
Can deal with a consistent ref because the game flows around the boundaries they set, whether they are harsh or relaxed. With this guy you didn’t get a watchable game because there was none of that.
Thought the VAR process for their disallowed goal was crap. Took way too long. Thought the decision to rule out Anthony’s goal was wrong.
The pen is very harsh and I’d like to see the difference between that an Nathan Collins early claim in the first half.
It was very strange. How does it take 5 minutes to disallow that first goal
That was our goal. Their goal was allowed, then checked by VAR, then reviewed at the monitor when it was clear that the player was offside and was interfering with the goalkeeper by line of sight. It was very strange.
The goal was disallowed and indicated so by the ref and then we had another 3 minutes. Did he go to the monitor?
YesIt was very strange.

No. Their (eventual) disallowed goal was given as a goal by the ref. The ref then (after 3-4 mins) did the "TV Square" motion at which point I thought the goal was disallowed for offside (Esp as he raised his hand in the air). However (thinking about it) I think at this point he went to the monitor and spent some more time before announcing the goal was disallowed. That was our goal. Their goal was allowed, then checked by VAR, then reviewed at the monitor when it was clear that the player was offside and was interfering with the goalkeeper by line of sight.
Ah, after review, we are in agreement. That was our goal. Their goal was allowed, then checked by VAR, then reviewed at the monitor when it was clear that the player was offside and was interfering with the goalkeeper by line of sight.
Except he won’t.He will go home tonight and wish for better days.
Don't comment on refs, other than in the moment of the game which we all do.Except he won’t.
He’ll go home and congratulate himself for a job well done. The assessor will say he did a good job.
There will be no attempt to review how he lost control of the match and no sanction from ProRef.
Players and managers cannot publicly berate officials for fear of bans and fines. Meanwhile ProRef will continue to serve up this dross week in week out.
His first use of the 5 seconds was the first goal kick Kelleher took after we went 1 up. I'm not even sure he'd put the ball down yet, and had taken a 10th of the time Roeffs(?) was.Cowardly performance. Best part of 40 fouls given and I actually thought there were some fouls he missed. So inconsistent - rabbit in headlights.
I maybe wrong, but not one use of this 5 second rule. What baffled me was the best part of 5 mins taken disallowing their goal. It should have been chalked off quicker. 14 mins of added on time with the trainer on the field only once.
See my post on the match thread. The attacker had his arm fully wrapped around KLP.On the penalty, the Sunderland player seemed to to be running straight into KLP. "Initiating contact", like we were told Collins did last week..
KLP can cry wolf all he wants but he made no attempt to turn and face the ball. Yes, there was "mutual holding" but one player had eyes on the ball and was attempting to play it, the other didn't have a clue where the ball was.See my post on the match thread. The attacker had his arm fully wrapped around KLP.
Obviously it’s only initiating contact when it’s a Bees player though.
