Man of the match v Sunderland (H)

Despite conceding the penalty, I thought Lewis-Potter had a good game, good game.

Our right flank was violated in the first half, so in return, he violated their right flank.

Bravo.

Man of the match v Sunderland (H)

Schuster made me pretty nervous in the first half at Birmingham, so I'm going to give him my vote for a solid display. Hickey did well when he came on and Vitaly took his goal well.

Man of the match v Sunderland (H)

I went with Hickey. I could not find the referee's name, but he was clearly the most impact man on the pitch.

Man of the match v Sunderland (H)

Schuster was seriously impressive and played enough of the match to edge it over Hickey who solved the problems down that side immediately

Man of the match v Sunderland (H)

Young Schuster had a great game. Stepped up in a very challenging situation and looked strong and confident throughout. This performance will have given him loads of confidence.

Schuster for me - very difficult to come on early in a game, replacing a captain at centre back when your side is under the cosh.

Thought he dealt very well with Brobbey given the obvious difference in physique, showed a great deal of composure and clearly a very smart defender.

I probably would have voted for Vitaly - thought he was the one player who stood up the most in the first half and really set the tone at the beginning of the second, not to mention his excellent goal. But I thought the game changed a bit on his unnecessary yellow card.

Hickey did very well. Yarmo made a big difference too.

Man of the match v Sunderland (H)

This was a weird match for me where I felt like 4 guys - kelleher, hickey, schuster, damsgaard - could each have a MOTM. But on the other side of the coin there were some terrible performances to weigh us down.

Schuster debut was crucial but damsgaard for me provided the only composure in attack all day and led to the buildup of our goal.

Man of the match v Sunderland (H)

for me it’s hickey, schuster or lewis potter (despite the tap on the shoulder)

I’m going for hickey due to locking up the right side.

Man of the match v Sunderland (H)

KLP again for me - special mention to Schuster who was very good, the guys behind me were giving him grief for some reason but they know nothing so he must have played well...

Man of the match v Sunderland (H)

A very difficult choice this time.

KLP was crucial on the offensive end, but cost us a penalty.
Schuster had a nice debut, a couple of small mistakes here and there, but it was difficult to enter such a challenging game from the bench.
Damsgaard was invisible in the first half, but seemed his usual self in the second.
Hickey and Yarmo made a crucial impact after the halftime, quickly fixed what needed fixing.

But I'm deciding between Janelt and Schade. My vote eventually goes to Kevin. He was everywhere, mostly playing outside his comfort zone, and did a lot of hard and not so obvious work. Tons of effort deserve recognition I believe.

Man of the match v Sunderland (H)

Janelt for me. Great goal and he dragged us back into it after awful first half. Schuster had a decent debut but I can't honestly see anything he did to justify MOTM votes. Keith got the subs right although at the time I'd have taken off Dams instead of Sangare.

Schade for me as well. Schuster, KLP and Kelleher worth mentions as well.

Man of the match v Sunderland (H)

Tough call. Thought all the subs did well, Vitaly had a good second half but was poor in the first, KLP looked good going forward but was shaky at the back. Schade and Thiago worked hard.

Let’s not talk about Dango’s performance.

Gone for Schuster as he came on when things were going really badly and helped stabilise things with some no-nonsense hoofing it clear defending. Looked composed and another prospect. Will probably get some game time too with Collins possibly out.

Man of the match v Sunderland (H)

Schuster for me. the defence looked better when he came on.

Special mention to Kelleher, Yarmo and Hickey.

Man of the match v Sunderland (H)

Schade for me as well. Schuster, KLP and Kelleher worth mentions as well.
Me too. If Dango had done 25% of the work that Schade did, then perhaps Kayode wouldn't have had such a tough time. Schade and KLP were our only bright spot in a torrid first half for us.

Man of the match v Sunderland (H)

The young lad coming on at centre back, if not him then KK for some great saves. Sunderland are clearly up for the games, credit to them but can they keep that up for 50 games?

Man of the match v Sunderland (H)

KLP and not even close for me. MOTM of both halves.

Man of the match v Sunderland (H)

He wasn’t perfect but still shone. Closely followed by Kelleher and Janelt. Schuster gets my vote.

Man of the match v Sunderland (H)

I went for Schade, because he worked his nuts off because Dango was missing and prevented him playing further forward.

Man of the match v Sunderland (H)

Got to be Kelleher for me made some really good saves to keep them out
KLP again put in a good shift as did Janelt thought Schade worked his socks off again and good debut from Schuster after coming on in difficult circumstances

Man of the match v Sunderland (H)

KLP and not even close for me. MOTM of both halves.
Hard to vote for the player who cost us two points when they didn't look like scoring. Everyone makes mistakes but wrestling the opponent rather than trying to play the ball, especially when you've got away with it before, is just plain daft.

It wasn't KLP that cost us 2 points it was the incometant pr**k who was supposed to be the referee, all we had to do was touch them and they fell down and he blew up, as for the penalty Isidor was looking for it and the useless lump fell for it hook line and sinker

Man of the match v Sunderland (H)

I think it has to be Kelleher for some vital saves but I thought Kevin’s workrate was absolutely phenomenal and he’s a strong second for me.

Man of the match v Sunderland (H)

Nice range of votes....

Man of the match v Sunderland (H)

Schuster for me, not an easy game to come into and looked solid.

Man of the match v Sunderland (H)

Hickey or Yarmo as they turned the tide and changed the game. Ok. YY

Man of the match v Sunderland (H)

Yarmo. Took control and changed the direction of flow.

Man of the match v Sunderland (H)

Voted Vita. His goal tipped it for me; I said to my son at the time 'if there's one player you want as a poor clearance comes out, it's Janelt with a calm strike'. His third booking was unfortunate but it showed he cared and was fully involved... one of the very few leaders on the pitch after Collins went off.

Shout out for Schuster, though, he really grew into the game and showed some leadership in the back line, although having Hickey, a conventional right back, alongside him must've helped him settle.

Man of the match v Sunderland (H)

I have gone for Kelleher. He is an outstanding calm keeper who remained so despite some of the chaos in front of him in the first half. Yarmo was excellent when he came on as was Hickey and of course Schuster deserves huge credit. It was going to be tough for anyone playing CB for us yesterday but he stood up to the challenge. The half time subs were bang on. The guys who went off can have no complaints. The boss showed no one is above being subbed!

Man of the match v Sunderland (H)

Kelleher for me. Outstanding saves to keep us in a game that we struggled with.

Man of the match v Sunderland (H)

Janelt, turned up. Rolled his sleeves up when it wasn't going well for us & the technique for his goal was something else. Kelleher produced a couple of top drawer saves & young Schuster looks calm & composed.
