I think people read too much into this kind of thing. Even Bryan, Ollie, Dams, Kev to name a few have had these exact things chucked at them. I will never buy into the "not interested, not trying, not bothered" rhetoric. I think it is bloody hard to be a consistent footballer especially at this level, it f***ing brutal, especially for a creator who is judged by how many times he scores, assists, or beats his man who is trained to within an inch of his life to stop you. Confidence will dip, you will stop taking chances, but over time you will reach a better level of consistency.

I was never blessed with pace, very quick over 10 yards and 2 seconds quicker in the brain, but started having back issues as a teenager and slowed down over distance over the next 4-5 years. Apparently after the first 10-15 yards I always looked like I was moving fast, but people would over take me.

We've already got more value out of Dango pound for pound than the multi mutli million pound signings of the likes of Wirtz , Ekiteke, Tonali , Wissa (!) or any one of a number of overpriced donkeys. Hes allowed to dip in from. Its human. It happens at every club. He will bounce. No doubt.

I didnt think he’d played v well, but you can’t grumble at 2 assists.

Bryan disappeared many a time. It’s easy to remember him fondly but let’s not forget the sloped shoulders and shrug that often came out.

Dango was poor in his final cross or shot last night. He’s by no means a natural finisher. But think he played the pass for both goals?

If I could wish him improvement in one aspect it would be directing his headers. As an athlete he gets up to win the ball, but seems just luck where it goes. Has he scored with his head for us?

I think that's his problem – if he just hits the ball with instinct there's a decent chance he'll score; if he has time to think about it, he tries to make it perfect and fails. Many players are like that.

The one at Newcastle went through the keepers legs from the edge of the area.

Agreed. Have been quite vocal about Schade in recent seasons but he’s started the season brightly. Dango on the other hand is not setting the world alight. Hopefully he can sort this blip out soon…
