1977 - 1978 Home Shirt Reproduction

How feasible is it for BFC to reproduce this shirt, as it will be 50yrs since this memorable season. For many fans this season was one of the most enjoyable in our history.
Is it possible to use the Bukta branding and same material with the castle badge.
Hopefully Joma contract will allow, as it is for fans only.
I haven't got a good colour image if someone can post one.

My first season, they’d need to ‘pair’ it with the Steve Phillips yellow undershirt.

The company Bukta has ceased trading, but their branding can still be used under copyright license.

As a 9/10 year old I had both the replica shirt and tracksuit. That was pretty unusual at the time.
Did we have an official tracksuit then? Walk out tops, training wear, travel wear nowadays but can't remember anything other than generic sweatshirts and bibs warming up and for the subs.

I definitely had a Bukta one from either 77/78 or 78/9.

Has anybody got any BFC contact advice as to who I could contact to progress this?
Not sure if BU of BIAS could help.

I had a red and white striped football shirt in about 1969. I'd supported the club four years by then. My mum knitted a red and white scarf for me. The only thing I remember, Brentford related, for sale at the ground was a rosette.

I can remember badges. Club crest. And the slightly cringey "The Bees Sting Is The Thing".....well it was the 70's

Many thanks.

Its just getting BFC to acknowledge the 50yr milestone and getting the Bukta copyright side clarified.
I would love to know the material for certain, I am assuming nylon or polyester/cotton mix.
That material would chaff your old nips these days.

Seriously though good luck

100% polyester according to the label.

It was featured in the Centenary exhibition, alongside all the other historic shirts. I would get one for each member of my family in a heartbeat. Love it!!

Does this mean the club has an archive of all the old shirts or where they temporarily lent by fans or fans groups?
I did go to the exhibition and know that BU were managing the BFC programmes on display.

More money to be made from merchandise so there is a chance...

I am going to contact all the stakeholders tonight.
Please pray for me.

Caveat: I am an atheist.

Does seem like the club has very little in terms of history like this. Quite sad if you ask me.
The official holder of the club history and artefacts thereof are Bees United.

This is a good thing as its in the hands of fans, not some random owner in the future.

I've Photoshopped all the photos of the kits I took at the Centenary Exhibition into a single image:

Great piece of work!!

But I'm sure there was an (unsponsored) OSCA one between the 1977-80 one and the 1980-81 Adidas one........or after the Adidas one maybe......🤔
Mainly because that was my first ever one........

Lovely, but did they not have the 2004-2005 shirt?
Just checked and they didn't, 2003-05 and 2005-06. They did also have a 2006-8 and a 2012-13, but the photos of those have my wife and son in them and they didn't want me to share 😉

There were a few years missing in the exhibition, so they're not in my collage. Neither are the two with my wife and son in the shot, as mentioned above.

OSCA logo and Bees castle badge were some sort of black felt IIRC. And mine clearly didnt survive the frequent washing!!!
Can just make out where they were in 2nd photo!!

Cheers 👍
Reckon my first must have been the 1981/82 one then. But without the sponsors logo.
Was that a thing back then? Replica shirts came sponsorless?? 🤷‍♂️

We didn't get our first shirt sponsor, DHL, until near the end of the 1981/2 season.

Wouldn't mind the claret and blue striped retro shirt being restocked fyi Brentford
