Another ground in Scotland I have ticked off but have to say the stadium at Dens Park looks very run down and in need of refurbishment.
I would like to go to Dundee Utd just over the road sometime which looks more modern although that is just my view from seeing the outside of the ground.
As for the game it was played in pouring rain which luckily for me stopped just as the game finished.
The fans were getting on Steve Pressley's case a lot of the time for his defensive tactics by pulling everyone behind the ball whenever St.Johnstone went forward but they did improve in spells during the second half. Dundee eventually went 1 up in the 88th minute but St Johnstone got a deserved equaliser just 2 minutes later.
Ashley Hay was not in the squad as he is currently out with a knee injury.
Idris Odutayo ex Bromley was best player for Dundee by a long way.

Catering was dreadful - just a small place by the stairs selling pies, hot and cold drinks but no alcohol served by a kid who looked as if he had turned up straight from school !
Didn't see any chaps as most people were wrapped up against the rain and the away fans were at opposite end of ground to where I was situated but still made plenty of noise and got behind their team.
Dundee being the home of DC Thomson the publishing company that created comics such as the Dandy is full of little statues throughout the city especially Desperate Dan whom I am sure was sat in next row to me !!

Carshalton athletic 1 Chertsey town 2 last night in a fa cup replay….just under 300 incl around 50/60 Cherts ( 20 away chaps and around the same locals plus 30 yoooof)…13 quid to get in and Guinness at 5.80 a pint …..great win for the curfews and a home draw v Greenwich borough in the next round on sept 19th (no game)….a decent ground with a mini new rd on one side…..a tremendous evening

Season Ticket for me.
Cheese Burger, with Onions, and Dr Pepper £7.50.
Farnborough had a decent start to the game, but it was the home side who took the lead,before the visitors were reduced to ten men on 28 minutes, after an awful challenge.
Hampton created so many chances, wuth shots either straight at the keeper, or over the bar.
A second was finally added in the second half for a deserved win, despite what the Aldershot reject said in his post match comments.

Harborough first home league defeat since April 2025 and I didn’t like it!
Hereford decent team (went top with this win) but Harb matched them but gave away 3 goals from silly mistakes. We hit the bar and post and had several shots straight at the keeper. The HT manager wasn’t happy with the team effort - not how I saw it, more about decision making and execution of set pieces. Hereford fans appear to be the social media equivalent of arsenal in the NL.

I'll be honest, no matter how much I hate a club, I'd never want to see them disappear. Having supported a club that went under (Scarborough), it's not a pleasant experience and affects a lot of hard working (often for free) people.

we could have had 10 !!! They’re bottom for a reason but they caused problems Chertsey up to 3rd

No chaps, a lot of pretend ones and a home drum
£13 to get in, but didn't drink or eat anything as I was driving and we had a pub dinner before

Well. Season league wise is going completely the opposite of what was expected for Gloucester. Game was turned on a red card though for Gloucester.

Glos went 1 up and were largely in control of the game when Ben Nugent (CB for Gloucester) decided to turn into a keeper and saved a goal bound shot. Red card, penalty (which was saved) meant Gloucester went into HT 1-0 up

2nd half and Malvern put on the pressure with long throws and corners galore and equalised. Glos then in a rare attack went and scored immediately to make it 1-2 but then they turned into a Sunday league team and every time Malvern went forward they basically scored. Ended 5-2 to a team who were bottom and hadn't won a game in the league.

The turning point was the red card, no doubt about it but the capitulation at 2-2 was shocking. The 2 cup runs are masking what is turning out to be a dreadful league start and Daf (manager) has his work cut out otherwise it'll be another relegation. Next league game is against top of the table Plymouth Parkway on Tuesday, we'll see what reaction there is

Littlehampton dominated the first half and should've been 4-0 up, but for some great saves from the Ascot keeper.
They paid for that in the second half as the home side scored three unanswered goals.

My first visit to Home Park for a very long time. Argyle have regularly filled the ground in recent years and it has been difficult to get tickets. I looked for this game on Thursday and there was a good smattering around the stadium.

The one I picked gave me a very similar view at Home Park to the one I get (a bit higher up) from my North Stand seat at the Gtech.

An off day for Argyle. Burton have some good players and Argyle didn't really click. Once Burton scored, they spent a long period sitting back which nearly (and should have been) fatal - Argyle strikers missed two brilliant chances in that period. Overall, I thought Burton could have won by more.

I wish Argyle well because I have lived in Plymouth since 1998 and have seen only too well the club's importance to the city. Having said that, I'm not a passionate Argyle fan (Bees and Leatherhead - yes, Argyle - no) and it was fascinating to see how angry and frustrated the die-hards got. I can't remember seeing anything that angst ridden at GP or the Gtech.

Home Park is a nice place to watch football and everything was really good in terms of organisation - lots of bars, refreshment stands, loos. Two weeks today they play Wimbledon in the lunchtime fixture. I'll try and get a ticket for that.

One downside, they now have a drum!

Attendance 18,150. A couple of hundred black clad (or sometimes naked from the waist up) chaps behind each goal. Lots of drums and a traditional Albanian band. No visible away fans.
Tickets 2,250 Albanian Lek (about £22) for upper tier near the halfway line.
Didn't expect to find a programme so didn't even bother to look for one.
Bottle of water 150 Lek (about £1.50)

A bit random this one. We're on a road trip round North Macedonia and Albania (timed, of course, to coincide with the international break) and arrived in Tirana to discover our hotel was right next to the national stadium and Albania were at home on our last night in the city. It would have been rude not to go.

The stadium is nearly new and of Gtech standard. It feels larger than it's 22,000 capacity because one entire side is devoted purely to executive seating.

Decent match. An energetic Albania should have won by a larger margin. They had all the intensity and threat against a shamefully insipid Belarusian side. Good atmosphere with constant noise throughout. My next match is England v Czech Republic and the Wembley crowd for that one will be five times larger and five times quieter.

Actually one of the more enjoyable England games I’ve been to, most are instantly forgettable. We were decent going forward, atrocious at the back as anyone watching will have seen.

Why he took Gordon off is beyond me, he and Bellingham were superb. The Spain fans were decent and I enjoyed watching them play, they’re a proper team.

Left with 10 minutes to go and managed to make it home by 11pm.

I’ve got a ticket for the Czechia game on Tuesday week but I’m only really going for the caps (TAPs) so will probably stay for a half at most.

Whilst several of the goals were defensive errors, Farnham played on the front foot, played lots of intricate passes and thoroughly deserved their win. Score line flattered Weston who scored their second goal in the 89th minute.

Stand out for me (again) was Sam Hutchison who was a ball playing centre half who organised the team well.

Looking at the table, the NLS looks very open. Given their depth squad, I think Farnham are a good shout for the playoffs. Money talks!

Can Albanians easily afford those prices?

Its about the same price as a two course meal at a reasonably good Tirana restaurant. The centre of Tirana is quite smart, modern and relatively upmarket. Much of the infrastructure elsewhere is still decrepit and you'll certainly still occasionally come across the kind of donkeys in the road scenario in rural areas but you can tell there is disposable income floating around by the decent cars and phones you see everywhere.
