Thought it was interesting that he was deployed as a 10 before dams came on, sort of the role Gallagher has in that position where it's less about creating and more about pressing. We've seen Yarmo do the same thing as a LM in a 442 as well when there was some or other winger we wanted to bully off the ball, can't remember who now.

According to Andrews he’s had an issue for months and is behind others in fitness terms and is being carefully monitored
Doesn’t sound promising if Yarmo has a chronic injury that hasn't healed over the close season. Good luck lad. Perhaps this is the reason for KA not being fully aware of whether our incomings are complete? We're clearly giving it a right go this season.

Hmmmm. If "managing the situation" isn't resolving it, it often results in a surgery. Not saying it is in this case but I agree, doesn't sound good.

He is superb. But a couple of needless fouls...thought our shape was off/Sunderland pulled our midfield apart too easily, but he was better at dealing with that than Sangare, and bought much needed control.

I thought he was going to go.

Nice bit of end product with the assist today.
Though I was a bit confused at the game. He’s got the #6 shirt, and turned into this midfield destroyer, yet there he was, leading the press and haring about all over the pitch. It’s like we’d said ‘Neither VJ or MS can do it today, give us an hour on your groin, and then we’ll get Dams on for you.’ Now I’m worried that we won’t have him for a couple of weeks, or he’ll only manage a lesser part on Friday.

Is the groin injury still an issue, being managed?

I would have swapped Yarmo & Sangare around ✅

I thought that Sangaré was tasked with 'minding' Scott, meaning Janelt was more the holding partner leaving Yarmo the more forward presser.

Not in the Ukraine squad due to a reported muscle injury so, similar to the Pedro situation with Chelsea, not sure he'll be involved tonight
He might still be being ‘managed’ and do half a game, as he has done this week. I don’t blame him at all for crying off this time. There’s a lot of pressure on him and the other couple of PL lads to perform every time they turn up. Just to underline the rather unique circumstances, Ukraine’s next three ‘home’ games are set for Wroclaw, Kracow, and Warsaw…

How high is his ceiling? He’s absolutely everywhere, at full speed, hitting hard on every tackle, recovery running, and now bursting forward with the ball.

I’m struggling to think of elite level comparison. Who else plays this style?
Bit rogue but there’s a bit of John Obi Mikel about him IMO

A young Jordan Henderson?

Being called up to the national team is always a great responsibility and privilege for any player. For me personally, it was a childhood dream that has recently become a reality.
Playing for the national team is an opportunity to represent my country in its colors and to do everything I can to make our fans and everyone who is currently defending our country proud.
I’m very disappointed that I won’t be able to join the team during the upcoming autumn international break. As everyone is aware, I missed a large portion of Brentford's pre-season training due to injury. The club has planned a rehabilitation period for me at this time. Even now I can't give 100% for the club as much as I want to.
This is hard for me, I hate missing games, but I understand that going through a proper recovery process will help me be more effective on the field - both for the National Team and Brentford - in the coming months.
Thank you everyone for your understanding. And let's continue to support our boys in the national team! @uafukraine 🇺🇦❤️

Has he been called up to the Ukranian squad but declined?

Hard to imagine that he hasn’t. Pretty sure he ended up as Captain on the pitch earlier in the year.
I think the Club wanted him here for this long break to work on and recover from the injury he's been carrying.
