I think it seems to be something to do with being capped by Germany at youth level before he got his Bosnian citizenship although with a name like Vitaly id have thought he'd have grandparents atleast who weren't from Germany but probably not Bosnia

*Worth taking with a massive pinch of salt because whoscored routinely has James Tarkowski as the best centreback in the league, which indicates to me that their player ratings are massively skewed in favour of raw volume of defensive actions. I also seem to recall that a certain dinner companion of Banana's said he "wouldn't wipe his arse with whoscored statistics". But I'm happy to ignore all of that cos it has our guy on top
