Perhaps it wasn’t the most exciting game to watch, last night, but from seeing the reaction of the players after the game and from watching the interviews with Sam, Reggie & Ollie they appeared to be absolutely thrilled at being able to compete with a talented and very experienced team and come away with a victory.

These are the types of games where the young boys will learn most about themselves and what they are capable of gaining yet more experience in their fledgling careers as professional footballers.

Well done to everyone involved, including those who managed to attend.

Totally agree, that meant a lot to our lads last night.

Probably the most positive thing to come out of the match. Bromley put out a strong physical side who looked to put crosses into the box whenever they could. The young Bees stood up to this very well which bodes well for their future prospects whether with us or in the EFL.

Whatever you think of our participation in this competition it offers young players invaluable experience of senior football which you won’t get in under 21 leagues.

Bromley made 11 changes most of whom were as young or younger than ours.

They had a decent front two of Cheek and Kabamba.

No to Gloryhunters!

I think the Barrow ticket stub should now be replaced by the Bromley one

Cheek is an experienced forward who definitely gave a lesson to our defenders. The point though was they too were generally very youthful

One thing I thought Nunes did well was use his first touch to put the ball in to good spaces for him to run on to several times, opening up their defence for an attack.

Bromley made 11 changes most of whom were as young or younger than ours.

Their front line was Cheek (35), Kabamba (33) and Jodi Jones (28), that is quite a strong attack. Plus a 30 yo in midfield, a 28 and 32 year old at the back. It was a very good result for the young bees and a tremendous effort to keep them at bay
