At least the trains are running this time.
Found that out yesterday. Was going to train it but not with the delays and bus replacement. Have talked the wife into a nice weekend in BrightonNot from Littlehampton onwards they’re not.
What a PITA…Not from Littlehampton onwards they’re not.
Spurs charge 1.50 per ticket !

My son does Martock>Andover>Shoreham-by-Sea (me driving)>Brighton (train)>eat>Falmer (train) and back, too. It's a long old day but the 2pm KO and relay driving makes it work as best we can.Keen to go, but can’t find a train route that is less than a 9 hour round trip thanks to various line closures
It’s 140 miles FFS.
Even driving looks like a 7 hour round trip.
I always use the train, but I would ask aboutx6 in Singing Section purchased.
Travelling from as far afield as Devon, Somerset, Surbiton and er.....Brighton.....
Incredibly my first visit to Brighton's "new" ground.(Did the others). So will be looking for parking advice nearer the time....

Plenty of parking in Lewes in certain car parks ie Lewes FC or the Brewery Car Park.Any advice about parking in Lewes to get the train as tried parking Brighton last season and that a pain in ass to get back to on the train with have the 6 year old with us
I posted further up but, coming from the West, we always park at Shoreham-on-Sea rail station and continue by train, changing at Brighton. The train journey is included in the match ticket. So will be looking for parking advice nearer the time...
Not for this one.Get the train , there is no parking
Parking will be much easier in December.I'll be there in November
All the onsite parking is sold out, always been able to book the Uni car park.
I reckon so.
Anyone ever used the Park and Ride?
At Brighton Racecourse?
I used one of the other park and rides a few years ago for an evening game, (they all appear to wait in the same location at the ground from what I could see), it was quicker queuing for the train

We used one of the P+R a long time ago and it was, as you say, a lot of queuing; for the bus, for getting off the bus, then getting out of the car park and getting to a main road.I used one of the other park and rides a few years ago for an evening game, (they all appear to wait in the same location at the ground from what I could see), it was quicker queuing for the train
Be easier to get to Brisbane !!Not for this one.
With replacement buses etc, 9 hour round trip from Somerset.
nope but i would like to know more info

You can get a Seagull Travel coach from there however. Not from Littlehampton onwards they’re not.
Just needs to be within 3.5 hours of the match, before and afterSo I can get a return from Staines to Haywards Heath and then whatever route to Falmer for free, either via Brighton or Lewes?
We did the Mill Road one a couple of seasons ago. It worked really well, although the queue for return buses after the game was quite long and it probably took about 45-60 minutes to get back to our car. Back then it also only opened 90 minutes before kickoff and was already quite full when we arrived with 60 minutes to go. Now it opens three hours before kickoff and I don't fancy hanging around the stadium for that long...

Can i get out of the station at any stop on route from Haywards Heath and get back on train, i.e. Lewes or Brighton? So I can get a return from Staines to Haywards Heath and then whatever route to Falmer for free, either via Brighton or Lewes?
Yes. Buy a ticket to HH. Get the train to Brighton. Have some beers. Get on the train to Fulmer. Can i get out of the station at any stop on route from Haywards Heath and get back on train, i.e. Lewes or Brighton?
I've seen them being complete PITA's on the gates at Brighton so I wouldn't be surprised if they did give you some aggro. If you're coming by train, could you use one of the left luggage places near Brighton Station (which is what we're planning to do)?Not sure whether this should go on the 'Tickets' or 'Travel' thread...
Does anyone have experience of how aggressive the bag policy is at the Amex? Due to the change in kick off, I'll be in Brighton for the Saturday night, but would prefer to bring my bag to the stadium so I can go home directly from the stadium. I see the official guidance is "no bags bigger than A4", but I have seen this applied to a varying degree of accuracy at some venues.
Any help or advice greatly appreciated.
But Fulmer is a village in South Buckinghamshire?Yes. Buy a ticket to HH. Get the train to Brighton. Have some beers. Get on the train to Fulmer.
and from there you can a bus to Falmer. But Fulmer is a village in South Buckinghamshire?
Or better still (IMO), get the train to Lewes, have some beers, get on the train to Falmer...Yes. Buy a ticket to HH. Get the train to Brighton. Have some beers. Get on the train to Fulmer.
I've just seen this that says they have bag store at ground but no idea what it's likeNot sure whether this should go on the 'Tickets' or 'Travel' thread...

A couple of years ago I was refused entry with a small backpack and directed to that storage. Queued for 20 minutes - just before reaching the front they announced they were full and told me I could bring it in with me. So apparently their bag policy is somewhat moveable.I've just seen this that says they have bag store at ground but no idea what it's like
