Final Score MK Dons vs Brentford (EFL Trophy)

[Hippobee]

I remember when he joined he said he wanted to win many trophies.
Well the Freight Rover won’t be one of them.

I don't think he's going to be here this time next year. Disappointing, but he'll have been here 3 years next summer.

[Untouchable]

Well it be a very important lesson for the young bees

Agreed. But a good lesson for their future careers especially as most are unlikely to make it with us.

We can still win this

Already ripped up my season ticket due to this shambles.

One from pre 2010?? There the only ones that can be ripped

[bexleybee]

Oof

[Houghton Bee]

At least we'll always have Bromley away to remember

[readingbee]

Hooked at ht. what do I know

Not sure there’s any point him being there after half time with the scoreline as it was. I guess they don’t want him injured.

wrists are slashed , just put the gas oven on

[Untouchable]

What happened to the score

[Hippobee]

wrists are slashed , just put the gas oven on

I find it very nostalgic.

It's like Scott Fitzgerald and Terry Butcher are helping Sam Saunders every step of the way.

Red card protest?

[Les Beeavinu]

What happened to the score

Teleprinter broke.

[RAF_Patto]

Crossed arms just means "substitution required"

Late to the party, but actually means "stretcher required". Just spoke to a football physio friend. He said it is either that, or cardiac arrest, but noting the injury mechanism he's confident it was the first option

[Untouchable]

Teleprinter broke.

Those bloody brackets have busted the GPG algorithm.

[Banana]

GET IN

We're going to win 8-7

[Houghton Bee]

Goal for the bees! No longer MK Dons record EFL Trophy result!

Stretcher required and cardiac arrest have the same signal?

Who scored?

[RAF_Patto]

Stretcher required and cardiac arrest have the same signal?

Apparently depends on the team & age category. So because it's a youth team, it will mean stretcher.

FT
We didn’t win. Let’s say no more.

Onwards we go young Bees.

[JosephBFC]

Nice ovation at the end for Sam and the lads at the end. Difficult day at the office, the U21 squad is already threadbare, so losing Bentt and going down to 10 against a strong Franchise side unsurprisingly proved an insurmountable task. Didn’t help ourselves with some of the horror goals we gave away, and then they score 3 worldies. I thought Avenell was having a good game until the red. Wheeler-Henry put in a good shift defensively and Holland used the ball well when he dropped deeper in the 2nd half. They’ll learn from it

[Les Beeavinu]

What was the red for?

[Untouchable]

30 minutes with 10 men and to only lose 2-1 in this time showed good character. Could have scored a couple more in this time too.

[JosephBFC]

What was the red for?

DOGSO

[Untouchable]

What was the red for?

DOGSO. Push in the back when the next action would have been a shot.

Let's make a pact

We will never mention this game to @rebus

I understand "experience". And fair play to the young lads for keeping on trying till the end.

But that IMO shows what a farce the whole thing is.

Getting battered by a mens side offers little positive learning.

I once played a game with 9 men and lost 18-0
That taught me never to agree to play a game again with only 9 men.

18-0? Not even lost that much whilst at school. Think 15 was the max!

It's just experience of playing against seasoned pro's isn't it.

If there was ever an ego in camp (not saying there was), this will remind them they're going to have to work bloody hard to make it.

Apart from that, yeh I agree.

[Gazza Bee]

Why is there no score shown - we were happy to gloat that other teams lost heavily in the last round of fixtures but now it has happened to us we erase the final score from the thread title?

[hanworthbee]

Well it be a very important lesson for the young bees

Will it ? No sure there is anything to be gained for being hammered 7-1 apart from thinking I'm miles from making it as a pro

[Lionel Bart-At]

Stats not quite as bad as the scoreline.

[BudleighBee]

18-0? Not even lost that much whilst at school. Think 15 was the max!

18-0 is a perfectly normal score. I was in goal when we (Chandos) lost 18-0 to Salvatorian College. A huge improvement in our next match though, we only lost 9-1.

[ChesilB]

I has the misfortune to lose 10-2 and 20 -0 in the same season. Hayes and District Sunday League. Billy Stagg was responsible for the 10. Not sure what happened in tge 20 nil but f*** me, that 90 mins lasted for ever. Yep, I was centre back. First time I've ever been able to admit this

And the funny thing is, we sit at the ground watching the Premier League and still think we could do better.

They are miles away.

We were under 13s!

Played in the Hendon and Districy Sunday league , my mate was a sub, we were winning 13 nil and he asked could he get on and the coach said he could not risk it!
My mate never bothered to come again

Was the coach named Arteta by any chance?

Were they closer after winning at Bromley ?
