Why? No station staff? Short platforms? Curved platforms? All of these?
I suppose wait for news about whether there's a limited service running, as there may be.booked from marylebone - moor st so i need a new journey i guess ?
I am High Wycombe -Moor Street up Friday morning so that will be ok, but back last faster train on Saturday. Going back via New Street not an option for a very boring reason, so going to hope for the best! If not, extra night in Birmingham it is!booked from marylebone - moor st so i need a new journey i guess ?
Hold fire, don't worry for now. I'll keep checking the timetable and update here.booked from marylebone - moor st so i need a new journey i guess ?

Yes, it's quite complicated but from what I can find there is no guard requirement from Marylebone to Banbury.Latest I can find is the following:
What the strike means for Chiltern services
The full effect of the walkouts is still to be confirmed. A Department for Transport spokesperson said most services were expected to run, and the department said Chiltern expects nearly all of its trains to operate.
So hopefully that’s proved to be the case![]()
Is this union agreements? The stock is the same, right? Or are platforms very curvy north of Banbury?Yes, it's quite complicated but from what I can find there is no guard requirement from Marylebone to Banbury.
Guards are required Banbury to Birmingham, managers have been trained as contingency Train Managers, so they will be drafted in.
Yes, originally the route only ran from Marylebone to Banbury, the route wasn't popular and it was agreed by the Unions to not have a guard, but when they extended from Banbury to Birmingham they insisted on Guards. Is this union agreements? No, they will be fine. This won’t affect trains from Euston to New Street, will it?
Does that include the orient express?Remember new rules mean that you can travel on other trains including Avanti if your train is cancelled.
Probably not since it doesn't operate in this country...Does that include the orient express?
That's just the Central Line right?Does that include the orient express?
You can expect the usual reliable service from Cross Countryalso doesn't affect Cross Country from Reading does it? Apart from potentially disrupted customer jumping on cross country trains if their original trip is cancelled.
Well it did say any train.Probably not since it doesn't operate in this country...
Walk and BusTrain cancellations on Saturday mean that unless you manage to make the 17.05 from Witton to New Street after the game, the next train isn’t until 17.55. Cue long queues for both.

It's Via Littlehampton, probably quicker to get the Replacement Bus to Three Bridges.Just fantastic to see that all trains from Brighton to London on Saturday are diverted via Horsham, adding an extra hour to my journey each way.
A big thank you as always to the ****s running Southern.
