Best wishes Andy, get well soon

Can’t remember against who, but once sat right behind and in line with him score a cracker at GP. I can still see it arrowing into the net.

There was one long range cracker against Port Vale that I remember at GP.
Best goal I’d seen by a Bee up to that point.

I don’t care where AS ended up,or where his allegiances now lie, but he was one of the finest BFC players I’e seen in nearly 40 years of watching. To me, he’s up there with the best of the present day group.

100%. One of the finest players we've ever had.

Used to stand breamer road. Can’t remember who or when but he received the ball dropped a shoulder flicked to ball down the wing.
The fullback just took him out as he was done. Would swear to this day he hit the hoardings first before he hit the path. Got up brushed himself down, smiled, free kick given, made a run down the wing as if nothing had happened

I saw many of his games, whilst he was at at Brentford. His finale at Anfield in the quarter final of the FA Cup in 1989.
Then Andy took a short journey from a bus stop in Hounslow to W12!

I first recall him,as slip of a lad at Cambridge United

Has he got his Bees cap yet ?

Will never forget his through ball to Cadette for that early chance at nil-nil.
That Tuesday MacMahon realised how good he was and took him out with an ankle-crunching foul/hit soon after.
Still fuming 🤬🤬🤬
Didn’t even get a booking😔

I might be wrong but I thought it was Cockram that played the through ball?

Nah deffo Sinton. As Andy Mc wrote McMahon intentionally stuck one on him a few minutes later and somehow escaped a yellow as the ref was suffering from a nasty bout of Big Club Syndrome

Great player, but not interested in the Bees. Nailed his colours to the Ra-Ra's, so couldn't care less about him.
Tempted to agree with this.

As for thinking he’s one of the best players in the last forty years - even at his best I don’t think he’d get in any Brentford team in the last ten years.

ONLY 37 years ago mate 😊
Impressively ‘quick’ game wasn’t it?
We were a very good side, amazing for Third Division.
💯
Definitely gives the lie to my memory of us being a "long ball up to a big CF, who knocked it down/flicked it on!!" team during that period!!!
But maybe that was a couple of years later under Phil Holder.....😄

Despite how successful we are now, in many ways, I far preferred football then.

Look at the Kop then. Sold out for a FA Cup quarter final against a 3rd division side. And Liverpool put their best team out.

We played really well for a lot of that game too.One day, I'll play that video and Cadette will sneak it inside the post!
