We all agree that Cash is a cynical nasty thug, he knew exactly what he was doing in that incident. It is unbelievable that none of the officials reacted. Twice now Schade has been a victim to this cheat. This needs addressing....
Cash is simply a coward... another in a long line of cowardly footballers we've seen over the years....they all get their comeuppance in time... one way or t'other.

Worrying thing is it they might get their wish as it could well still happen in January......
I wouldn't worry about it,we haven't sold anyone of any consequence in the winter window since we've been in the prem.Onyeka going out on loan and Maghoma sold to Norwich were the only squad members that went and they were fringe players.

Mepham and Hogan are the only two i can think of before that.

Which could well mean we have to take significantly less in the Summer if he doesn't sign a new contract.
Keeping him may well be the difference between finishing in Europa League (or who knows maybe even Champions League) and narrowly missing out on Europe again, in which case the money made from keeping him would likely outweigh the money lost waiting to sell him six months later.

As previously mentioned we haven’t sold a player of any significance in January since Mepham in 2019, and that was a season where we had little left to play for, I’d be amazed if we suddenly started selling in January again in what could be our best season ever.

Do we really need to be on the Kevin Schade Contract hamster wheel again?
100%

Not every player is going to sign a new contract in what we as fans deem a timely manner. He’ll be looking at any potential opportunities, as any player would in his position. If it means we have to sell for less, well thank goodness we’re so well run that we’ll be able to address it.

But when it comes to this I’m very much of the que sera sera brigade

How about getting Terry Hurlock out of retirement and giving him a one-game contract?
He can say “hi” to Matty in May at the G-Tech and we can all offer our condolences as he limps back to the changing room.

... but... but... but, Villa fans seem to think we're a bunch of thugs, akin to Stoke City of old! Quite honestly, this is a very odd view but it's probably based on Villa's inclination to recruit tiny players and we just seem like all-in wrestlers in comparison.

We could persuade one of our B Teamers, though, to do the job.

I get the impression that it’s the Twitter babies who didn’t go to the match but simply looked at the stats who think that - well-adjusted Villa fans seem to have thought that it was a good match with a fair result. Anyway I’ll save Edmundo …

As this thread/injury seems to be the current "I damaged/tore my xxxx muscle/bone by doing yyyy and was in agony/out of action for zzzz weeks/months" (🙄)
I'll add mine:

"Not sure if this is exactly what happened to Kev, but my left arm was cut off in a freak chainsaw incident and I couldn't eat soup with eat for 2 years until I had a prosthetic one fitted. So I cant see him being back until after the 2028 Inrernational Break".
I’m sorry to hear this @badgerbee . Get well soon. 💐🍇

Just seen something on FB saying Kev is all recovered which is very good news.
What?! Who posted that "news"?

Edit: just checked and it seems one or two on Brentford FC "loyal" are suggesting he gonna play on Saturday. They seem to know more than the club.

You know what FB is like, something pops up and you go back to have a look and its vanished but deffo said he was recovered.

Eta: Haha went back and managed to find it and of course, it's AI slop. As you were.

And once Terry has chased Matty off crying down the A4 crying for his mummy, he can focus on McGinn.

Guess, it seems a lot of shoulder injuries are long term and the discomfort Kevin was in looked bad
Wouldn't write him off just yet. The fact he came out for the second half, after obviously being examined by medical staff, would make a break or dislocation unlikely, I'd have thought.

I think your assessment is most likely correct as if there was any damage, like a break or dislocation, then the physios would have probably wrapped his arm in his shirt and he definitely wouldn’t have come out in the second half. That doesn’t mean to say that it’s not serious. As others have pointed out if it is a muscle tear or similar then that would be severely incapacitating with a fair amount of time needed for recovery.

Fingers crossed it doesn’t keep Kevin out of action for too long.

I looked at the highlights again. He was running about ok - without any physical contact, admittedly- until he went to take that shot. That impact, being on one leg, ending up on the ground, whatever, caused enough jarring for him to call it a day. I’m sure I did a similar injury in my youth and was fine after about a month. 50 years on, and with top medical care, if he’s out for longer, then it’s something more serious!
