Liverpool (H) 17/10/26

Hopefully some more of our absentees from the weekend will be available - Collins? Rico? Damsgaard?
Plus Schade? Schuster?
And Matthi is fit to start.

Obviously Gravenberch will be suspended, and Ekitike is a long term injury, but apparently Isak will be back for them on Saturday
Any ideas sbout availability of Gakpo and Szoboszlai who were both injured for City game.

Quite handy they're playing in Champions Leafue games in Greece on Wednesday then home to Villareal next Tuesday......

Our squad depth is really showing. We still looked great at the weekend and we have several versatile players who can _step in _ to various roles as needed. Makes us much more unpredictable as well.

I know Janelt coukd play CB. Obviously Keith is happy with Hicky. Could Diouf? Thiago probably could too 👀.

A radical approach; all our best attacking midfielders with Anthony and Ouattara to add a bit more pace later on. KLP for his nous to help keep the lefthand side well defended and Yarmo to come on as the situation demands.

Diouf wld be wasted at CB (attacking/ crossing capability).

I think Schuster will probably be fit. Sounded more like he had a knock before the game and it was being managed more than anything longer term...I hope!

Missing arguably 4 of our starting 11. Still undefeated. I know that Liverpool aren't in the best place from an availability standpoint, but neither are we. I'm curious to see what the starting 11 ends up being. I'd like to see

I’m predicting a 3-1 bees win.

Back at the Gtech, where we dispatched Chelsea, they’re reeling.

Plus, I’m quite keen to see just how s**t Wirtz is and whether those saying he’s the worst since Antony have a strong case 🤣.

If Sepp was still injured he wouldn't have been on the bench last week. I'd expect him to be fit to start after an extra week of training.
Don't think Diouf will be dropped after last match, nor Yarmoliuk.

Because KA likes to rotate, give players chances etc. Anthony did ok last game, but I think we all know deep down Dango has a higher season.

I wouldn't mind Dango being back in, especially with Kevin being out.

He’s also got a track record of keeping those who are playing well in the team. Agree Dango has a far higher ceiling but Anthony is way ahead of him in terms of peformances at the moment so I’d be very surprised to see Dango start.

With Schade missing, perhaps Keith will set-up with more of a 4-4-2 type of play, then maybe Carvalho off Thiago is a possibility. Having someone quick around Van Dijk would cause some chaos.

I think Dango gives us a bigger goal threat WITHOUT Schade due to the fact of cutting in.
I love Anthony putting crosses over for Schade and Igor but can see Dango starting if Schade isnt

I'm sure someone made pretty much this same suggestion last week. Carvalho didn't even get off the bench last week and he's not in the 14 or 15 players who are the core of our squad. If we were to play 442, which there's no chance of IMO, then Wilson would be the second striker.

Fair enough, I just think he's a bigger goal threat and with KA missing I'd start him. Either way, we need Thiago this game.

I wrote "Having someone quick around Van Dijk would cause some chaos." In the absence of Schade, I'd say Carvalho and Ouattara are the only attackers who could do that.

Maybe so, but if Sepp was fully fit he'd also not have been behind a natural FB for 45 minutes. Maybe he's not injured anymore, but he's also not healthy enough to play 45. Not a great stretch to say it'd be a doubt for him to start just a week later.

This is how Liverpool line up tonight. Real lack of squad depth here. A shame Van Dijk isn’t starting. A bit of fatigue and more starting 11 players unavailable on Saturday would be very welcome.

...you never know... maybe they'll have to bring on VD as an attacker if things don't pan out for them.

LASK aren’t very good are they? Hopefully it’ll be like last season when Liverpool walloped Eintracht Frankfurt 5-1 and had a bit of a surprise coming to Gtech straight after. And we know how much better than Eintracht we are now!!!
