The Silver Fox of the GPG
Yehor Yarmoliuk
The fact that scouse **** is not even facing the ball, and then stays down like he does. Hopefully a double ACL is just around the corner for him
Jacquet did it numerous times. But of course VAR didn't look at that.I was engrossed in the shenanigans at the far post. Dick Van Dyke was involved in winding everything up. Jacquet definitely moved his head towards Yarmoliuk at one point. When VAR came up on the big screen I thought that's harsh on Jacquet. Neither player was rolling around clutching their face. The ref saw nothing. Yarmoliuk will learn from that, if you go to headbutt someone at least bust their nose and take them out of the game.
Still haven’t seen one.
He celebrated and high fived VVD.Jaquet walks upto yarmo, I've seen an angle where he's smirking as he does it. Looks like yarmo goes to chest bump him but makes a tiny movement with his head. Jaquet is a rat
As far as I know he doesn’t. Hence what I said. If he does that’s also covered…I’ve not yet seen a replay that actually shows Yarmo making contact.
No one claiming it was a full blooded Glasgow kiss but Yarmoliuk definitely moved his head in Jacquet’s direction and makes contact.Still haven’t seen one.
The referees should have the guts to conclude that notwithstanding any red card, that was an obvious simulation with intent to deceive the match officials. The fact that scouse **** is not even facing the ball, and then stays down like he does. Hopefully a double ACL is just around the corner for him
I agree with your interpretation of the rules but you need to establish contact before you can determine whether it was negligible. No one claiming it was a full blooded Glasgow kiss but Yarmoliuk definitely moved his head in Jacquet’s direction and makes contact.
The Premier League guidance states:
“A player who is not challenging for the ball will be sent off if they: make a clear forward movement with their head resulting in contact with the head or face of an opponent or any other person, unless the force used was negligible”
Could argue that the force is negligible in this case but that’s subjective. Clearly the VAR and referee thought it was not negligible.

There was no contact, but the gesture felled the big strong centre half so badly he stayed horizontal for quite a time.I’ve not yet seen a replay that actually shows Yarmo making contact.
Whilst I cannot argue about the sentiments that you express so eloquently what currently happens when teams flood the box in the way Liverpool did today on numerous occasions is in my opinion very one sided in favour of the attacking side. If the attacking side overstep the mark, and commit a foul, the referee blows his whistle, the free kick is taken, and the game moves on. If the reverse occurs, and the defending team commits a foul then a penalty is awarded, and the game changes. Whilst it was not a penalyCan’t stand the Bertie Big b***ocks squaring up and posturing from footballers. It’s pathetic and pointless. It’s not like you’re going to physically beat the opponent up so they have to leave the pitch, without incurring a sanction. If you do injure them sufficiently for them to have to go off, you’re facing a minimum six game ban.
We’re praised on oursports psychology but seem to still get involved in this nonsense, as well as picking up many bookings for dissent.
Yes it’s a passionate and emotional game, that’s a great part of it’s attraction, The solution when you’re being wound up at a set piece or similar is to simply sit down and calmly say to the ref that you refuse to get up until he sorts out the situation. These are elite professionals in body and mind, it should not be beyond them to play with ice cold fury.
Many occupations are stressful and emotional but were you to lose your head, you would lose your job. It’s feeble that sports, other than where the intention is to physically harm the opponent, have these “big man” moments.
it’s clear that Brooks and VAR had a poor grasp of the protocol (slow motion only) and the law under which the sending off was given. His description doesn’t instil any confidence in his competence but then we already knew he lacked any from his officiating of the first 45 minutes, and previous performances.I agree with your interpretation of the rules but you need to establish contact before you can determine whether it was negligible.
This was the announcement of the referee:
REF: “After review, the Brentford No.6 commits a headbutting action. The final decision is a red card”.
The ref does not say there was a headbutt. Only there was a head butting action. The latter is not a violent conduct offence.
Quite agree. Like a car collision the best advice is to say nothing at the time, as whatever you say may be taken down and given i.....then he's been ill advised by his management team...or by making a statement without consulting his employers... regardless.... he's been the victim of an extremely poor decision by the IFAB....BFC imo should appeal.

Of course we wont, they have made their decision and will stick with it to the grave.DOF man says no chance we will win an appeal, as does the main man.
His first mistake was he didn’t go down like wardley when he got shoulder barged by JaqcuetThe kid made a mistake.
We’ve all been there.
Learn and move on.
... they are of course correct... guilty as charged....but provocation is such a difficult thing to manage.... especially for one so young...YY will learn from today hopefully... Jacquet deliberately got a fellow professional sent off...he knew what he was doing... that's not ok.... not in the spirit.... winning is everything I guess... maybe that's the difference.DOF man says no chance we will win an appeal, as does the main man.
Furthermore IF there was any forceful contact by Yarmo it certainly WASN'T where Jacquet clutched his face before collapsing to the ground in apparent agony. The referees should have the guts to conclude that notwithstanding any red card, that was an obvious simulation with intent to deceive the match officials.
He went down like he’d been caught by a sniper. Cheating pure and simple
His first mistake was he didn’t go down like wardley when he got shoulder barged by Jaqcuet
Naive play by YY
Not in the spirit, but legal therefore we should try.... they are of course correct... guilty as charged....but provocation is such a difficult thing to manage.... especially for one so young...YY will learn from today hopefully... It was as Blatant a red as they come. This Brentford bias needs to stop otherwise there’s no point having a debate
I’m saying if you don’t think it’s a penalty your Brentford bias is warping reality and there’s no point discussing. He pushed his head into him with force. It was stupid and ruined the game for usIf we agree on things like this, there is no debate to be had, the only reason there is a debate is because people disagree
I think what you are saying is, if people don’t agree with me, I will not discuss it with you
Except we probably won't get away with it week on week, unlike the so called "big" clubs...Yep, and I keep seeing about how we take the next step, and how f***ing ridiculous is it, that for us to make the next step, we need to up our sh*thousing and cheating ! This league is so f***ed
... it's funny bordering on sad...but some of you lot on here were making comparisons with this young fella and Terry Hurlock but a few days ago... Hurlock was an animal...a thug...he wasn't hard FFS...he was a coward....I saw him getting sent off for Rangers v Celtic at Parkhead...he wasn't a footballer FFS...he just kicked other players....a spoiler at best perhaps...you want to compare YY with Hurlock after what's happened today.... right you are.
It was as Blatant a red as they come. This Brentford bias needs to stop otherwise there’s no point having a debate
Not disputing it was a penalty under current laws but with force? No, not for me.I’m saying if you don’t think it’s a penalty your Brentford bias is warping reality and there’s no point discussing. He pushed his head into him with force. It was stupid and ruined the game for us
I’m saying if you don’t think it’s a penalty your Brentford bias is warping reality and there’s no point discussing. He pushed his head into him with force. It was stupid and ruined the game for us
But I don’t want to see Brentford players behaving like Jacquet did, cynically cheating to get an opponent sent off. We can push the boundaries without being a team of cheats. His first mistake was he didn’t go down like wardley when he got shoulder barged by Jaqcuet
Naive play by YY
"With force"????I’m saying if you don’t think it’s a penalty your Brentford bias is warping reality and there’s no point discussing. He pushed his head into him with force. It was stupid and ruined the game for us
If VVD had done that to one of our players you wouldn’t be defending it.I don’t think he did. He was looking at the ref saying he keeps fouling me, the cheat walked up to yarmo and shoved his shoulder in his face, yarmo should have gone down, but he pushed his chest into the Liverpool players chest and his cheek slid down the cheats neck.
Wasn’t a head butt, no contact was made to the head.
If you disagree with me there is no point discussing this
It's never a penalty. The ball wasn't in play at the time.I’m saying if you don’t think it’s a penalty your Brentford bias is warping reality and there’s no point discussing. He pushed his head into him with force. It was stupid and ruined the game for us
If VVD had done that to one of our players you wouldn’t be defending it.
The lad f***ed up, it happens.
There’s no point pretending he was trying to give him a peck on the cheek.
But I don’t want to see Brentford players behaving like Jacquet did, cynically cheating to get an opponent sent off. We can push the boundaries without being a team of cheats.
..... Jacquet knew what he was doing...he goaded Yehor.... Yehor bit... Yehors mistake...... but it all seems just a little bit sad that that's what football has become.... where has honesty gone. Not in the spirit, but legal therefore we should try.
Both YY and Jacquet are young men in a big game. Hard to ever give a real solution to what YY should do. He will learn!
...I never saw him playing for Brentford Football Club...so I can't comment on that.Hurlock was a fantastic player for Brentford, far more skilful than given credit for.
I'd rather you out.... he's just been thrown under a bus by BFC.... don't expect your club to appeal young man....BFC mean more than you will ever do.....Benham out.
Yes, but that doesn’t make it right. Let’s have sporting integrity. And, if it’s a real “thing”, I hope BFC retains its “no dickheads” approach, so we never end up signing knobheads like Jacquet. We have seen for 50 years, and most recently the last World Cup, cheats always prosper in this game.
Behave yourself. Terry Hurlock played in the Scottish Premier League for Rangers when it was a competitive league and played for Southampton in the top flight as well. He was a good passer which got missed due to his aggression in a period when football was aggressive.... it's funny bordering on sad...but some of you lot on here were making comparisons with this young fella and Terry Hurlock but a few days ago...
But yet you comment anyway....I never saw him playing for Brentford Football Club...so I can't comment on that.
He only saw him play for Glasgow Rangers. He's allowed to comment on that. New Brentford innit? But yet you comment anyway.
He played 220 times for Brentford and 29 for Rangers. Frankly his opinion on Terry Hurlock is ridiculous on that sample. To say he was a coward and not a footballer is properly embarrassing. He only saw him play for Glasgow Rangers. He's allowed to comment on that. New Brentford innit?
What are you commenting on then, you saw him getting sent off for Hamilton academicals V Cowdenbeath and he's a thug an animal and a coward, there's probably a lot of people on here who actually did see a lot of Terry Hurlock playing for Brentford and he WAS a hard man but certainly not a thug, animal and definitely not a coward. Some of the posts you've put on here tonight are a F****g disgrace, stick to the Highland league....I never saw him playing for Brentford Football Club...so I can't comment on that.
You're bang on right. I wouldn't want to watch a team of cheats like this current Liverpool. They're a disgrace to the name of a once great club. Can you possibly imagine what Shankly or Paisley would have said about this sorry cheating Sh*te !Yes, but that doesn’t make it right. Let’s have sporting integrity. And, if it’s a real “thing”, I hope BFC retains its “no dickheads” approach, so we never end up signing knobheads like Jacquet.

They’re both young men. It’s unsportsmanlike but I’d be happy if it was the other way round...... Jacquet knew what he was doing...he goaded Yehor.... Yehor bit... Yehors mistake...... but it all seems just a little bit sad that that's what football has become.... where has honesty gone.
....my argument was you can't compare YY with TH as some were doing in the recent past on this thread...YY is not in the mould of TH... football has moved on from an era where you can nut someone and get away with it...as the young fella found out today.... that's all I was saying.... and I don't give a flying one about what anyone thinks about that. Can we stop the Hurlock talk now please?
