Final Score Hull City 1 - 1 Brentford (Ouattara)

Hull City 1 - 1 Brentford (Ouattara)

Better second half. Hull are tough to play against. If there was ever a game for Yarmo and Janelt it was this one unfortunately. Point each was probably fair especially as I thought we got the better of the refereeing decisions today.

Hull City 1 - 1 Brentford (Ouattara)

Thiago has been so poor today and lost the ball so many times when we threatened to gain momentum in the second half. I can only assume Keith doesn't want to knock his confidence by subbing him off. I think we'll have more threat with Wilson up front against Sunderland.

Hull City 1 - 1 Brentford (Ouattara)

Only watched the last 45 and with no sound (which can sometimes help!). I thought we played ok tbh, Hull have something about them but also lack in quality which is probably to be expected. Maybe in the conditions it was difficult to create clear cut chances but i felt like we were the better team for the half i watched. Thiago's awareness and touch for the goal was fantastic.

Hull City 1 - 1 Brentford (Ouattara)

Very disappointing. We had almost all the ball in the second half yet rarely threatened. If we want to push on we have to be turning these draws into wins. It's good not to lose but it's better to lose one and win one.

Hull City 1 - 1 Brentford (Ouattara)

All over.

Glad to get a point in the end, but a concerning performance. Way off it first half. Better second, but nothing special.

I just hope Keith and his coaches can get to the bottom of why our attack looks weak and impotent for large parts of the game.

3 top performances against Spurs, Leeds and Chelsea. A decent 45 mins v. Liverpool. The rest has been rather meh.

After our first couple of games, I thought we'd improve even more, but we've regressed.

Hull City 1 - 1 Brentford (Ouattara)

We have way too many of those performances in us. Literally second to every ball, can't deal with teams who press us hard and try to break. I didn't manage the entire match, but from what I did see, only really Ajer came out in the plus. Anthony was good, too.

But with a performance like that, the coaching is at fault. Poor.

On another note, I don't think I understand PL officiating anymore. It just seems like every single game I come away scratching my head at decisions, and it's just making the game less and less enjoyable. VAR was meant to fix it, but if anything, it's made it worse.

Haven't won away in the league since February, the burnley game we almost threw away. Do we want to miss out on Europe to a promoted team and go “with a little more luck (…)” again?

Hull City 1 - 1 Brentford (Ouattara)

The conditions really affected that game. I thought Hull handled them better than us. A draw all things considered was decent in the end. We lacked any quality today. The shambolic nature of both goals rather sum that game up.

Hull City 1 - 1 Brentford (Ouattara)

Wow some 'interesting' opinions. I didn't realise a point away at Hull City marked an end to our aspirations of European Football this season.
Not a great performance but we battled & found enough to get a point. Some people genuinely seem upset Ouattara scored 🫣.

Hull City 1 - 1 Brentford (Ouattara)

Cant remember the Hull keeper making a save apart from Hickeys tame effort in the first half poor quality game played by two poor teams on the day

Hull City 1 - 1 Brentford (Ouattara)

One individual error cost us 2 points vs Liverpool
One individual error cost us 2 points vs Hull
not having that, one individual error put us in the backfoot against hull, however we need to be better at the top end of the pitch- uninspiring to say the least.

Hull City 1 - 1 Brentford (Ouattara)

Hickey lost in midfield. Doesn’t help that he prefers to retreat rather than advance.

Yes, yes, yes, you win the Twitter-sponsored 'most outraged fan of the week' award. Thank you for entering.

I love Thiago but if he's benched now I'll completely understand and approve the decision. Except for the assist he was miserable today.

Hull City 1 - 1 Brentford (Ouattara)

Much improved second half. Take the point and go but not sure we will play a worse team all season? Other than the penalty not sure they had a chance?

Assist?

Hull City 1 - 1 Brentford (Ouattara)

For the first time this season I found that very, very disappointing. Glad we got back into it and for Outarra who despite mixed quality was our most dangerous forward for most of the game. Jensen, Sangare and Schade had real off days. I really thought we would impose our quality but it looked like two lower end of the table teams.

Hull City 1 - 1 Brentford (Ouattara)

Its a shame Hickey thought he was playing for Scotland with that back pass, that put us on a needless back foot whilst we had to attack into what looked a swirling unpredictable wind. Took us too long ie after the break to recover and start playing. Great to see Dams back.

On to the next bundle of fun...Sunderland in the cup!

Hull City 1 - 1 Brentford (Ouattara)

Stupid mistake cost us three points.

Kelleher shouldn't be making that pass to Hickey especially when he's new to the role.Having said that i'm glad we tried him there, many wanted to see it but i hope that experiment is over now unless we are down to bare bones because he was completely out of his depth.

When Dam's replaced him the difference in our midfield was night and day.I'm not scapegoating Hickey because everyone was rubbish in that 1st half but it didn't help.

Should have been 3 points and these draws are starting to get a bit irritating. If we'd played anywhere near our level we'd have walked that.

Hull City 1 - 1 Brentford (Ouattara)

Sorry, should I be happy with this result? I believe in us more than that
No but you can stop being so performatively over dramatic about it :sorted:

Hull City 1 - 1 Brentford (Ouattara)

A point won from losing position. Thought it was poor game generally with Kellerher needing to make only one save. Final balls were poor but the weather didn’t help either side. 2nd half we looked the most likely to pinch a win. Need to convert some draws to wins to keep looking up

Really quite shocked at the reaction on here to our performance. They’ve not lost at home since March.

By every metric we were the better team. More of the ball, more shots, shots on target, chances, touches in oppo box etc. Unforced error to give them a point aside, we were the better side. And that’s without either first-choice CM available.

Reminds me a bit of the reaction to the Leeds draw(s) we had last year, some of you lot need a reality check for the level of entitlement you’ve developed. This lot have had points of Chelsea, United and Villa this season. We can’t just expect to win these games.

Even though he laid our goal on a plate for Dango. That was on top of his assist for KLP last Saturday. We did not get three points this week not because of the failings of Thiago, but because of the failings of the Referee verses Liverpool. We were always going to struggle to cope with both our defensive midfielders missing from the action. What is hard to take is neither should have been carded last week.

Hull City 1 - 1 Brentford (Ouattara)

No impact on the result but I’d like to continue to highlight the shocking level of officiating we’re experiencing this season.

That referee ignored so many blatant fouls today.

Hull City 1 - 1 Brentford (Ouattara)

Another hard earned away point, conditions were crap, both teams tried to win.

We are so close, the final ball and the final cross is just off so often, you feel it’s only a matter of time and we are going to click.

6th, only 1 defeat, and we have even clicked yet.

Can’t be arsed to read a load of negative sh*t on here, but at least the Liverpool game is history now. Onto the cheating scum next week.

Hull City 1 - 1 Brentford (Ouattara)

At least Janelt will be back for Forest nest week, then probably get booked and miss Brighton but then at least Yarmo will be back
