Yes I agree. Many (including me) would have had Hickey in the starting line up. The penalty incident was clearly not his fault (though I would say that Janelt is that much better at shielding the ball in the same situation) and unsettled his whole game. Hull were targeting him trying to get him sent off. There was an incident shortly after the penalty where McBurnie went down in a heap after running into Hickey. May have been intentional maybe not.

I agree penalty wasn't his fault but he wasn't having too much joy in that strange position for him. Lovely player but use him where he's best imo.

Most baffling is that Andrews, a midfielder, thought a midfield with Hickey in it was better than one with Damsgaard.

Damsgaard is carrying an injury so is better utilised last 20 to unlock.

I don't see how anyone can blame Hickey for the goal.
