So when you say ‘not that much more expensive’ you mean £20m more. Or 40 Vitaly Janelts.

Secondly, Delap has played twice as many PL matches as Diouf so the transition to PL football/ intensity etc is minimal.

Thirdly, Diouf has played 154 minutes of PL football for BFC. Not even 2 matches. Maybe you need to manage your expectations a bit better.

We’re good when we play a really high-intensity style that requires literally all the outfield players to be 8+/10. That’s a huge ask, but when it works it’s exhilarating - Spurs, the first half at Leeds, etc.

More than most PL teams we’re a “sum of the parts” system. Take out even one player having an off day and the whole system breaks down, or is seriously weakened. Michael, for example, has been below par recently and the right side flops.

In terms of collective ‘mix’, I think our best 11 is currently:

It did directly follow our opening day win and 1-6 win at Birmingham. I did feel not getting all 3 points there somewhat deflated us until the Chelsea game.

I don’t think I’ve ever expected a big response in the form of a good performance as I do this weekend.

Must win is ridiculous. But a defeat or a game similar to Hull or even Sunderland at home won’t reveal anything we haven’t already learnt. Big performance please

Exactly! Forest under Glasner will be a different proposition to the past. They'll play his 3-4-2-1 with wing backs high, probably Muñoz and Williams, and overload on corners/set-pieces with Murillo the target. We need to focus on getting our full backs supported wide and our best headers of the ball defending centrally.

That style of play means we'll need to work hard to open them up through the middle, but it'll be a battle and the card count probably high . It's not a game for floaty crosses into their box but quick penetration (ooh-er missus) and chaos, so I think a Schade-Thiago-Ouattara-Damsgaard attacking unit.

Billy mentioned about how they are underperforming their Xg and their poor home form, I was disappointed that he didn't remind the Florist fan about how they have taken the piss out of us regarding Xg ever since the Championship days or why they are struggling at the " World Famous City Ground".

Jinx. Listened to it this morning and thought exactly the same thing. Sensible Forest fans are a rare breed. Billy also missed a trick when the chap rated their league season last year 4/10 by not responding "a point for every manager".

They're normally like that Arabic chap on YouTube who is desperately trying to be a more infantile version of Rory Jennings. I can't believe how many of their fans are happy to monetise a bloke who doesn't even go to their games and profits from referral advertising of replica kits rather than official ones from the club - does any of the money he makes from actual Forest fans while purporting to be a Forest fan himself ever go back to the club? I suppose there are bigger causes to worry about... but I digress.

Some players seem to do better than their average against us. E.g. Sanchez (GK) for both Brighton and Chelsea. Delap is another. Scored and hit the bar for 10 man Ipswich in the 4-3 (Mbeumo in the last minute) game. Did his only thing of note in a Chelsea shirt against us last season. Let’s not give him any reason to get his confidence up this afternoon.

I agree with how they'll set up, but scoring first is unlikely to be enough, given we have done that in the majority of our games but not held on for the win.

We will need 2 goals if we're going to win imo. And if we do get that first goal, we must not sit back, cos that only ends one way.
