There’s a certain inconsistency about him, but that is based on what I saw last season; I thought he was much stronger in those last few games for West Ham.

In the same mould as Kayode; a solid, physical defender.

The main question is; is he someone who will be at the front of the queue in his position?

Not sure where he would fit in at the moment but maybe as has been mentioned previously this one may be one for the future

One played a full Premier League season, won Afcon, and played in the World Cup in the last year. The other struggled to hold down a place in what is effectively L1 level. I don’t think there is much of a comparison here.

I expect Meghoma will be loaned out or moved on permanently soon.

Think you're being a bit premature here. If I recall, it was something like a £10m deal for Meghoma as an 18 year old. Plenty of development yet.

I'm not sure that being in an Afcon final or WC amounts to someone being outstanding these days. When Diouf played against us, he looked poor. I don't see much to get excited about.

I agree with that but he also had some very good moments going forwards

This would be a very good signing, I didn't realise he was only 21 so that really does make it a typical signing for us.

He was new to the PL last season so if anyone thinks he may have been inconsistent bear in mind this time last year he was a 20 year old starting his first season in English football.

The couple of games I saw him play late in the season he looked good. Quick, strong and delivered good crosses into the box. You know when we say 'if only Rico had a final ball/end product'........ This fella has that.

Am i not allowed to voice an opinion of your opinion? You've expressed the same opinion multiple times before... a rumour about a talented young left-back does not exclude what you're looking for... and plenty of us trust massively the incredible track record that those in charge have built up, so not sure why you seem to think you know better. Time will tell, but I’d be shocked if Meghoma ever became a regular for us.

Not the finished product, but almost unlimited potential.

West Ham fans initially loved him, but then Nuno came in and left him out. When we played at their place in league, it was the experiment of Nuno having full backs on wrong side, don’t think Diouf played, Wan Bisakka was LB with their other young LB playing RB?
He got his place back and retained it. Sure he had defensive lapses, but so did others. Once Nuno settled on his back 4 they improved and got to points that most seasons keep you up.

He did look poor against us but we've been told about the dangers of judging players based on one game.

On the other hand he looked excellent for Senegal against England last year.

Why? As well as being a lifelong Brentford supporter, football has played a huge part in my life both in terms of playing and watching other team's games.

Flashed between looking really good, and looking hopeless defensively. But I’d back the club to bring him up defensively, we’ve done it with loads of players before. If he does improve as a defender he’d be a real top talent.

Plus, when we need a goal, having both marauding down the wings would be a big help - equally when we go 5 at the back they’d be a great pair of wing backs.

We were linked a couple of years ago too, I could see this having legs.

It would help if he had even one ounce of footballing ability to go with the athleticism though.
Still, im sure we are better placed than West Ham to train it into him

Certainly didn't stand out for West Ham. Bowen, Summerville and Fernandes were their only good players last season. Rest of the squad would fit in well in Championship.
Anyone who'd swap him for Henry is clueless.

Henry will not be here forever. This for him is twilight time, I am sorry to say. We need a quality replacement.
