I know I should be used to this by now but it still blows my mind whenever I come across anybody overseas who has so much as even heard of us. We were in a restaurant in Mostar, in Bosnia, the other day and the waiter greeted us with 'where are you from?' 'London? Ok, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs or West Ham?' I steeled myself for the inevitable 'who? ' but he didn't miss a beat. 'Ah yes, of course, the Bees'.

Mind you, finding myself singing the Vitaly song to a taxi driver in Sarajevo probably comes under the category of 'things you never thought you'd do'.

A Bees striker being Brazil’s number 9 at the World Cup is surely the final boss of signs we are a big club.

I can remember being excited when Gus Hurdle was an answer to a question on A Question of Sport!

Crikey, I’d not clocked that Wissa is there too, I’d been thinking there were three ex-Bees at the finals (Konsa being the other one). Just goes to show how well the mind-eraser has worked on any thoughts about that contemptible individual.

Article in ‘The i’ yesterday. Head Honcho of Coventry saying they will attack the PL like Brentford, rather than like Sunderland. Looking to buy value and sell high etc. However, they have the advantage of being a one-club city, with a bigger fan base and stadium.
You do end up wondering how it all went wrong before!

A succession of terrrible owners. We must never forget how bad it was when we were in the same boat, and what a difference it makes having MB!!!

Walking around Dubrovnik old town yesterday in bees top and 5 or 6 different locals mentioned bees and knew about us. They all support Chelsea/ Arsenal etc but love the Premier league. One guy even knew we hated Fulham !

Another said they don’t get many Brentford round there so on second thoughts we are a small club again.

I last came about 12 years back and don’t recall anyone knowing Fuxk all about 🐝 😂
