No we've rotated most of the team in round 2 before so no reason we couldn't again. It's only the EFL Trophy that has a rule around that.

I expect we wouldn't be that drastic because we'll want to put out a team that can win the game - which may be plenty of ration and still a very competitive team.

They have their US celebrity showbiz cup final fixture versus Wrexham on the following Friday so maybe it'll be them resting players.

The last Brentford game wife saw was a birthday treat beating them 5-0, with Cliff Crown asking if she could go to games every week. Cheer up Harlee Dean………

At least it’s doable as a return afternoon / evening trip by train. 22:17 and 23:11 departures from New Street take about 2 hours back to Euston.

That’s 7 out of 8 draws in both cups away from home and 6 on the trot now , we certainly can’t be accused of getting the rub of the green !
Nice to get into one of the lounges and some posh seats for these games as they are usually well priced and the pies are great !
Let’s batter the Brum and I’ll keep hoping for a home draw but unfortunately the odds are still only 50/50 but they seem to be far worse than that for us !!

Tricky tie - they are a good home record over the past 2 seasons and are building a side to get top 6 this season so it would be a decent result to go there and win.

Whenever I've followed us to Birmingham previously, I've felt the need to have a long thorough shower, when I've got back home.
Dirty, horrible place, with rubbish strewn all over the locality of the stadium.

Been to St Andrews many times over the years when we were in the same division. Started off in what was then an open terrace, the opposite end to where aways are now.

Went to the top of the league 'battle'. What a night out!

Suspect this might be on the tele - Championship home to PL. If that's the case, will probably make do with that.

Sadly not able to get away from work early and too short notice to book leave during school hols. A home cup game would be nice...the only one I got to last season was at the spammers and I'm still trying to exorcise the shoot-out from my memory...

At least it'll be on the TV...

Yeah I did the same in 2010. It was in an industrial estate and from reading on here sounds like I got away with it!

Very interesting night that….we had a great turnout (agsin) at SA and they had to call in late reserves to match us outside…the jump in to their section by one member of the BYE is of legendary status !!! 😱😱😳😳👀🫣🫣🤣🤣🤣

Not sure what season it was, but we were upper tier behind goal and the loons from Birmingham were lower deck.
Anyway, half time, my brother, goes gets a nice hot cuppa and places it on the barrier, right down the front of our bit ..
I accidently (honest Guv) knocked the cuppa off it's perch and it went all over the neandethals below. Did they go crazy or wot !!!!!

The massive deciding match in 95…only 1 went up that season and our defeat meant they would 🤮🤮 prob one of the greatest Brentford away turnouts of all time… quality and quantity wise💪🙌🏼 some great stories from that night 😉👍😁

Worked in Brum on a contract at that time. Went to the game , gutted does not cover it. Next day went to the staff restaurant at lunch time fully believing my love the Bees was a secret. In stead the restaurant almost as one sang Keep Right On as I walked through the door- sickening

Yep me too. Went into some god awful pub nearby. Looked derelict from the out side and only half of it open inside. Iirc it only had cans and bottles for sale and the crisps were about a year out of date! Where needs must!

I'm away that week and gutted to be missing this one. I'm of the generation which - for reasons covered in many of the posts here - hates Birm probably more than any other club. I mean, the worst you'll be hit with at Fulham is a pain au chocolat.
