That was a ridiculous performance. At this games, when one team is winning by enough margin for a friendly, you'd expect players to slow down, show some mercy of the opposition, and cruise the rest of the game (they are all pros after all).
Yet looked like even in that phase we simply couldn't avoid scoring more. As someone said, it was men Vs boys, the only useful conclusion is probably where are some players in the pecking order.
Great to wrap up the preseason with the front three scoring, hopefully it will continue next week!

We would have probably seen him in the latter stages too but with a scoreline like that there's no point in throwing on your elder statesman and end up shipping a couple more. From a selfish perspective I would have quite liked to see him play though.

It was pretty much the same line up, save for one or two, as in their other friendlies against foreign opposition rather than German amateur teams. If it wasn't their first team, that's a pretty bold pre-season strategy.

I found myself standing next to Graham Potter on the train out of Kew Bridge and had a brief chat with him - nice guy. He confirmed Frankfurt had a strong team out and was understandably very impressed with us.

Yes, it is a "safe standing" stand, not a seating stand. If they want to sit then they need to go in the East Stand

Only 20%? Was probably a lot more, plenty of casuals, spoilt by the good football and the day out. Hardly any atmosphere, but well, it's a friendly, apparently such a thing actually can exist in football!

The Frankfurt support was minimal and largely silent. Maybe 100 fans? After Rostock’s impressive numbers and quality at Watford, I was expecting far more. It’s left me confused about how German away fans travel.

They played F*lham last pre-season so maybe the lack of novelty in a trip to West London was also a factor why so few attended from Frankfurt?
Plus in 24/25 they finished 3rd in the Bundesliga and were looking forward to Champions League football. Whereas they fell to 8th last season and appear to be part way through a squad rebuild.
