Ah how the worm has turned what 6 years ago we were getting dicked around for Benrahma 😂 (no I don’t hold grudges much and I’m not bitter also aware it’s completely new people at the top there now)

If a deal was close it would be on every mainstream outlet

And he says he 'words for' rather than 'works for' to create a misleading impression without actually outright lying.

This sounds more and more like WHU are desperate to get the money and if they keep getting their online connections to push the story then it may force through a deal.
Let me assure you that this is not how it works. PG pays zero attention to “online connections” and even if he was aware of them ‘pushing the story’, it would make no difference. Do you really think he’d be swayed by such nonsense?

Colleague who is West Ham- saying its all over The forums saying the bid is in and the deal is almost done, don't ask what their source is
Must be a very STRONG RUMOUR if it’s on the West Ham forums… 🎣

I'm not denying he's a decent player and possibly has a higher level than anyone we have at the moment, but IMHO £40m is more than he's currently worth. I could see £25-30m with substantial add-ons but doubt the spammers will shift their position. Just as we didn't last summer with the 🐍
How would it force through a deal?

Probably as sound as the source at the end of last season on the bus that insisted to me he was itk and we were signing Harry Wilson :ROFLMAO:

Diouf down the left and Kayode down the right is the sort of carnage i can get behind.
As Keith continues to develop his brand of total football, I could honestly see both of them getting 12+ goal contributions each. Would be so much fun.

In an attacking sense I would agree, however I suppose that we can teach him how to defend should we drive down the transfer fee sufficiently to suit both parties.

But, but… Keano!
as long as Keano keeps performing as he has he’d keep the shirt, competition is a good thing!

Diouf looked to me like he’s got some phenomenal qualities and some areas that are massive liabilities. I’d back our coaching staff to get rid of those liabilities and leave us with a brilliant player.

Diouf + Keano with no significant departures and what a window this would be. Transformational like our 2nd to last Championship window was.

Really surprised we are in for another left back with the options already available, especially at the price quoted, but in the club we trust.

Remember when we played almost a whole season with no full backs at all 😭

Rico to Cov........??

El Hadji Malick Diouf (LB, West Ham, 21)

He can play as the extra wide forward we could use 👍

This guy could be cheaper than a viable wide forward.

Let's see but it's all rather exciting ✅
For my money he lacks the pace to play out wide, but I'd like to see him played in midfield somehow.

El Hadji Malick Diouf (LB, West Ham, 21)

Or KLP moving to midfield/attacking roles, and also reducing Ajer appearances as FB (he did a few last year, and a lot in previous seasons)
And Meghoma not being ready

El Hadji Malick Diouf (LB, West Ham, 21)

Didn’t see this happening but we want 2 options per position so Hickey presumably will be RB understudy who could play LB if we get an injury crisis there. Could mean Rico goes elsewhere too...

El Hadji Malick Diouf (LB, West Ham, 21)

Even if he did join (and I don't think he will) he'd have a massive job to persuade everyone that he's better than Rico and KLP.
He would have a massive job to persuade me he could dislodge Meghoma as 4th best LB at the club 😪

KLP and Henry are those two options for LB

Like others, I wrote this one off long ago. It only makes any sense if we are planning to offload Rico. It would have happened in a year or two anyway, but if an opportunity presents itself now, you can understand the club enquiring.

Rico and Ethan gone in one window? 🥲

El Hadji Malick Diouf (LB, West Ham, 21)

Unless we let Meghoma go the other way even on loan I can't see this happening

I wasn't that keen on him but if Phil and the others are that determined to get him, then they must see him as another part of the jigsaw.

As one pundit said this weekend. Brentford have an incredibly high hit rate in the transfer market. Not perfect but pretty much above every other club in terms of signings turning out to be ideal for the set up.
