GPG....Update. We are moving hosts at 2pm on Thursday
Just to advise you all, we're moving hosts.
We've been with the same hosting company for a couple of decades now. Previously we got personal service from the very top of the tree and specialist advice, but then they sold up, and all we've experienced since is prices as steep as Tonali and disappointing service.
So we've decided to dispense with their services and move elsewhere for roughly a third of the cost. A Sangare by comparison.
Your donations towards our hosting and other costs have always been very welcome. Having paid the bills myself for 30 odd years, through thin and thin, I do thank you all. However, such donations have been declining materially year on year. I've seriously got no problem with that, and I'm not surprised by it either: the cost of living crisis is genuine. But it did make us ask whether we really need to be paying way over the odds for a service that has declined just as much. Or, as we call it, "Onjeka". If you can afford to contribute to our running costs then it would really be apprecaited. See the thread elsewhere.
Anyway, at some point in the next couple of weeks you'll probably find the GPG "closed" for a few hours while we migrate to a new, more Sangare-ish home.
Obviously we'd rather not do this anywhere near a first team match, but we're a bit boxed in by the contract with our current hosts and the various upoming league and cup fixtures. Hence the most likely date is Thursday 27th August, next week, when you can expect to be without the GPG for a few hours.
p.s. if it doesn't work please blame Jon Van Varney.
