I’ve always wondered a little where Fabio fits, but I now think he may be an integral part of the matchday squad. Keith’s ‘energyball’ approach requires unbelievable physical intensity (and quickness) in the attacking midfielders’ pressing, on top of all the attacking stuff itself. Fabio is nimble and has quick movement - he could be perfect in that role in the evolving setup. Hope he gets % up to speed and shows what he can do, especially if Matti’s out for a bit.

I assumed Wilson was brought on as his reading of the game was needed. He spotted and stopped a Sunderland breakaway on our right late on that was excellent play.

Possibly.
I thought he came on as KA was going for the win, rather than his "defensive" work.
And I'd still stay bringing FC would (IMHO) have been more likely to result in 3 points.

Not saying he was brought on for his defensive work, just that it was an example of his ability to read the game. I'd like to see Carvalho at some point but I think the intensity of the last few minutes of that game probably needed experience... as well as a goal.
