As far as I can tell, he's the 21st most expensive striker currently in the PL, and yet 2nd top scorer in his first proper season, behind only the robot. Transfer business seriously doesn't get more impressive than that.

The Telegraph article was interesting as Phil Giles is open and honest within the restrictions necessary with an organisation such as BFC.
In the past he gave great information to the fans about the player deals which as really interesting. I remember his saying a player he was disappointed
to not get over the line was Cucurella who would surely now fail our no dickheads rule but I wonder if that would of been the case under Bees guidance?

Apparently he isn't. He has a son with severe autism, who goes to the same school as a colleagues son who also suffers from autism. Apparently he is fantastic with the kids and gives a lot of time for them. I am told he is genuinely a great guy, which is why PG probably wanted to sign hin. Still a d**khead on the pitch however.

In some ways it reminds me of the Pontus signing season. The button has been pushed again this season, not all on inward transfers but also on extensions.

Just two to keep in mind. KS and MJ but assume going nowhere just yet.

I would say that it's our best window since the Pontus one. That one gave us an entirely new team that would become the backbone for years to come, while this one really makes us have a step up in quality. We are better in quality and depth and have barely lost anyone.

Phil Giles is probably the best in the league in his position.
