I'm ashamed to say I didn't really notice young Furo.Made his PL debut with that late sub

It was almost a dream triple sub - young player making his PL debut, several times injured player making a reappearance (and booking his World Cup place) and the miraculous comeback of a player out for over 2 years.I'm ashamed to say I didn't really notice young Furo.
Was too busy willing Josh to get to the final whistle in one piece.

Define young?Chosen as Brentford's young player to watch for the coming season by the BBC

Premier League 2026-27: Max Dowman, Shea Lacey, Trey Nyoni and the other youngsters who could impress this season
The Premier League returns later this month and we have picked out 20 prospects - one from each club - who will be looking to make their mark and enjoy a breakthrough season.www.bbc.co.uk
Maybe he could write a song for SangareI am really interested to see what this guy will bring this season, nobody will be interested in his music when he is on the pitch.
Still surprised we have not found him a good loan yetBagged for the B's tonight![]()
Maybe the plan is to ‘shadow’ Wilson this season, and be mentored by him?Still surprised we have not found him a good loan yet
If we want him to go on loan, there'll be no problem finding him a suitable one.Still surprised we have not found him a good loan yet
Tbf before Furo joined we had even fewer options. Dango and Schade can play up front and we have more depth with Wilson and Anthony now too. Think it’s very unlikely Furo gets meaningful minutes and a loan probably would be bestIf he went out, we'd be relying on Wilson to be fit for every game and at 34, with a chequered injury record, that might not be wise. Keep him around and let him work with two high quality experienced forwards
I imagine this season we’ll see more of Keith’s attack-attack-attack until the final whistle, so he’ll have a part to play.If he went out, we'd be relying on Wilson to be fit for every game and at 34, with a chequered injury record, that might not be wise. I hope soI imagine this season we’ll see more of Keith’s attack-attack-attack until the final whistle, so he’ll have a part to play.
Would keep him with first team squad and let him learn from Wilson and Thiago.Big, strong and quick and has held the ball up really well, looks an absolute beast!
Why not? This game has shown he’s too good for U21 level. We can't be sending Furo out on loan.
I think he may have had a knock for that one.Why not? This game has shown he’s too good for U21 level.
I understand the positives of training with Thiago and Wilson every week, but if he can’t even make the bench for a league cup game at Birmingham then I don’t think a loan with regular minutes is a bad idea.
One injury to Thiago or Wilson away and he's needed.I said the same about Carvalho with regard to Jensen and Dams and now Jensen is injured. Why not? This game has shown he’s too good for U21 level.

I’m not convinced he would be needed in all honesty. Even if Thiago / Wilson got injured I suspect Keith would play Schade or Dango up top before Furo, but happy to be proven wrong! One injury to Thiago or Wilson away and he's needed.I said the same about Carvalho with regard to Jensen and Dams and now Jensen is injured.
I can forsee a scenario where Wilson gets injured (being as he is 34 with a patchy injury record) and Kaye relieves Igor of his duties from the bench, but I think you're right in that if both were injured Schade would start with Anthony coming in on the leftI’m not convinced he would be needed in all honesty. Even if Thiago / Wilson got injured I suspect Keith would play Schade or Dango up top before Furo, but happy to be proven wrong!
I agree he wouldn't start but we need that strong squad and if one of those 2 stepped in,we'd be short elsewhere.I’m not convinced he would be needed in all honesty. Even if Thiago / Wilson got injured I suspect Keith would play Schade or Dango up top before Furo, but happy to be proven wrong!
ISTR (for Brum, I think) it was said that he travelled with the team as the spare man in case there was a last-minute withdrawal from the match-day squad. He was at both Birmingham and Leeds warming up with the first team even though he wasn't in the team or on the bench which confused this particular correspondent more than somewhat.
I can't see why not, After the great performance today against Sunderland U21's, even if its only short term one until January, he needs senior football, after all we paid a reported £8 million for him, He's played in the Champions league against Arsenal, appeared in 2 FA cup matches for us as well as a sub in the Premier against WH so he's already had a taste of it, we are in a much better position than last season regards injured players, a middle Championship club would be ideal, after all its only 4 months until Jan 1st.We can't be sending Furo out on loan.
They weren't bad but not every keeper he comes up against is just going to wave at shots. Some lovely finishes in his hat trick. He's quick, direct has good feet and heading ability.
