Half Time at the Gtech

Band of the Coldstream Guards playing rousing marches whilst marching across the pitch in perfect synchronization - worked at the old Wembley Stadium FA Cup finals - and that wasn't even a hybrid pitch!

Think the assistant referees should have a race down their respective touchlines. I'm sure someone could open a book on the result based on their performance in the first half. Not only would this help give them something to look forward to but it would also allow both sides of the ground to be close to the entertainment while not impacting the main pitch.

For novelty value they could throw in an assault course or even involve the fans by having them throw wet sponges. Winner gets a free sausage roll.

Half Time at the Gtech

Double the prize if scoring with a Rabona and treble it for a Panenka (should bring plenty of moments to laugh or jeer at).
Anyone attempting either of these should be deemed a primadonna and disqualified immediately.

My kids enjoy it.
So does mine
PUT THE f***ING SCORES ON AT HALF TIME. NO ONE WHO HAS ANY INTEREST IN FOOTBALL WOULD RATHER WATCH YOUR sh*t PENALTY THING.

Bias... Any chance
Can't you connect to the free wifi and view them on your phone, if walk into the concourse and look at them on the screen?

I have no idea what that nonsense is about.

But you can get scores on any app you like. You don't need scores to be displayed on a big screen.

Do they watch it on the multiple screens in the dugout? There seemed very little interest in the dugout which led to some old Brentford shouting out ‘sort it out Brentford, put the scores on’. It seems old traditions are gradually being phased out. Becoming more and more like Fulham off the pitch.

Half Time at the Gtech

Perhaps those of us in the North Stand could actually be treated to hearing any spoken words over the tanoy before, during or after the game. It's been awful since day one and, despite completing numerous surveys telling them so, it just gets worse, rather than better.

Half Time at the Gtech

So put it on in the Family Stand concourse, don’t subject adults to this tosh!
I've no idea what goes on in the Dugout, but the HT event on the big screens in the ground was on for most of the last season. Maybe if the original rant was clearer rather than shouting it might be easier to understand

Can’t get any scores at half time on my phone - wifi or mobile data. I can’t be the only one.

Not that I am particularly asking for it on the screen.

Not if my connection to the wifi was anything to go by just before the second half got underway.

TV screens in the dugout concourse switch from the Sky Sports programme to, today, two “characters” and a QR code, with numbers ascending above each of the characters. Riveting stuff, why does this need to be shown on concourse TVs.

If there is a completion of some sort happening on the pitch and one is interested, surely one stays pitchside to watch. If one needs a piss or cup of tea then decide on one’s priority.

Half Time at the Gtech

When I used to go to GP regularly, it was normally Peter Gilham reading out HT scores, with an interview and maybe a kiddies game or centre circle challenge.

That was perfectly satisfactory then and ought to be now.

Half Time at the Gtech

There's about 20 screens in the dugout, we could have HT scores on one for the 6 of us who remember the league two days.
Put the Nasdaq & dow Jones on one for the S102 new Brentford stock broker firm.
Stick QVC on another for the S102 care home crew.

Obviously the other 17 can show the penalty thing.

You haven’t missed a lot tbh.

Think it’s getting worse. Couldn’t even distinguish what they were playing at full time.

No interest myself in the half time 'entertainment'. I am old school but times change and not going to spoil other peoples fun. Gives me a chance to catch up with all those regulars around me. That i enjoy.

I don't go to be entertained for 15 minutes during half time, i go to be entertained by the 45 minutes either side of it. I've never heard anyone saying that was a great game of football but disappointed with the half time entertainment.

Half Time at the Gtech

For the first 4 years the ear splitting noise through the tannoy before the game and at half time was unbearable. Distorted, ear splitting noise that prevented you from chatting to your neighbour and it drowned out all the singing. 4 years of complaining and we have gone from one extreme to the other, from migraine loud to so quiet you can't hear the teams being read out.

Do we only have level 1 and 10 and nothing in between? If I had to choose I would go with the current level 1, its nostalgic bringing back memories of Griffin Park, and my ears aren't wringing for 20 mins and my head splitting open, but can we maybe try level 4 or 5.

But the WiFi doesn’t work! I was in the West Stand from 2pm and, as per every other occasion, I couldn’t get a connection pre match, half time or post match.
Not being able to get ht scores is frustrating. I also noted many others around me not even bothering trying to load the penalty game because of the poor connectivity. I noted from the big screen that there were only around 1000 participants, that’s a very small percentage of the crowd playing and being entertained.

Do you mean the BFC WiFi or do you mean your network provider's connection?

Personally, I often connect to the BFC public WiFi if I arrive early and (South Stand) have never had an issue with it. My mobile is on a Lebara contract and I believe runs on the Vodafone network and it can be slow or non-existent at half-time but otherwise fine. I know others who've had issues with other network service providers.

Back row of west stand, wifi or signal is fine.

Back row of north stand never works. Some weeks i can get on to BFC Wifi, some i can't. still doesn't actually do anything.

I like the penalty game but the signal means i can't play it. I'd like to hear whats being said again and music - it's like we've lost 50% of the sound where we sit.

Perhaps a simple survey will inform the Club.

Half Time at the Gtech

Half time on Saturday's at the Gtech.
I would like it mixed up a bit.
One week penalty shoot out via wi fi.
One week centre circle challenge.
One week interview ex players on the pitch who are guests in hospitality.
One week a supporters half time music mix - selections sent in by supporters after previous home game.
Just thoughts 🤔
COYB's as always.
🐝⚽👍

It could be a whole lot worse!!

Be careful what you wish for.

Half Time at the Gtech

We need a return of the Playboy bunny girls!

I can't quite remember what they did, but just wandering around was fine I suppose... :owusu:

I mean the BFC WiFi. My phone recognises the BFC network but has only been able to connect on a couple of occasions pre kick off. My ST is towards the front, central section in W134. Its certainly the case that many of those around me have the same issue

OK, maybe this is something @hobbsy can pick up and discuss with the Club.

I literally steam our games on the wifi to see action replays if we are awaiting a var decision. I mean, its a bit flaky at half time when you all join, but I can always get half time results.

Half Time at the Gtech

There is a pint thief about. Just as the second half was kicking off, I'd had a whole pint left over, brought for someone else who decided to stay in thier seat. I was just about to have a few swigs from it, when a chap walks past me, looks around and decided he was going to help himself. I had a polite word and said that's mine. Don't leave ya drinks laying around as they may get pinched.

Not a great deal better for me
