Yeh the A329 turn off being closed was unexpected and annoying.![]()
The M25 closure at J11 was an utter pain the arse. Didn’t want to be crawling along the Seven Hills Road at gone 11pm.We got home at 12.39 after god knows how many roads were closed.
Over 2 hours to get home via everywhere.
Uber ! What was wrong with the bus and the 2241 train!Yes just got back to Ashford , I thought our Uber driver was going to actually cry![]()
That was a surprise. The M25 closure at J11 was an utter pain the arse. Didn’t want to be crawling along the Seven Hills Road at gone 11pm.
Same - Just wish I'd checked / known in advance as more direct options were available.Wasn't it just! I came home via Windsor.
Yes it's a great little stadium and very convenient for transport links or even driving. It just needed to hold another 5k.Definitely take our ground for granted and even GP being located well. It's so sh*t being a ground just miles from anywhere!
Buses and Trains ? Whatever next . Premier league on and off the pitchUber ! What was wrong with the bus and the 2241 train!
Wow. I remember when that road WAS the M25!The M25 closure at J11 was an utter pain the arse. Didn’t want to be crawling along the Seven Hills Road at gone 11pm.
I say this a lot but for ease of access, choice of decent places to eat and drink, all within easy walking distance, and location I honestly don’t think there’s anywhere better in the country.Definitely take our ground for granted and even GP being located well. It's so sh*t being a ground just miles from anywhere!
I dont like the Olympic Stadium for watching football but have no problem with its location. Easy travel to/from. Lizzie line or Central Line to Strafford one stop back to Hackney Wick on the Overland. Loads of eating and drinking places Hackney Wick side.I say this a lot but for ease of access, choice of decent places to eat and drink, all within easy walking distance, and location I honestly don’t think there’s anywhere better in the country.
We have it extremely good. Imagine going to the likes of West Ham and Reading every other week…
01:00 arrival in Somerset due to car park exit farce, and A303 closures which meant SatNav routed me via M4 and M5...
"Looking forward" to a similar journey and probably later return home time for Chelsea game on Friday.....
Same here - my tip was spot onDidn't park in the car park .
Side streets for free.
Back in Ashford for 11![]()
Yep!!!Two diversions on the A303 last night. I failed to see the funny side of that.
Didn't applaud the boys off after the game then??!!Was in car park 6, got in early around 6:15pm so got a good spot right by the exit. Left bang on the final whistle, back in Isleworth at 10:50pm. The perfect crime.

Free ticket to Hull awayDidn't applaud the boys off after the game then??!!
TAPS deduction incoming!!!
Stayed behind to show my appreciation.
Still in the Car Park at 10:45.
Back in Somerset at 01:00.
Double TAPs for me!!!![]()
School night! I’d promised the mrs I’d get the boy home before 11. But that’s a great effort coming from Somerset and you deserve double taps!Didn't applaud the boys off after the game then??!!

After last nights journey they should beI thought Ubers were banned in Reading?
It’s also remarkably easy to get in and out by car and get parked up if you know where you’re going.I say this a lot but for ease of access, choice of decent places to eat and drink, all within easy walking distance, and location I honestly don’t think there’s anywhere better in the country.
Slower.Bit of a wait after the game, but made it back to the station with ten minutes to spare.
Can't believe any sane Reading fan would use the car park next to the stadium.
How did they cope when they had full houses, in the Prem?
You paint a very vivid picture!Slower.
Not a long wait (a walking stick helps) for that shuttle, and just made the 22.58 Lizzie to Hayes & Harl. I then decided to catch the 140 bus at 23.50, which had seemingly caught and passed an SL9. I soon found out this was correct. She set off like a rocket, and we’d passed a 90 and an E6 before reaching The Grapes. We sailed across the White Hart roundabout before midnight, and similarly at The Target without apparent use of brakes. No stopping was countenanced at Northolt Station, and I staggered off the bus at 00.06!
I didn’t know 140s could go that fast! I was hoping for an occasional red light, but no, it was green all the way, apart from The Grapes. That just seemed to inspire her more! You paint a very vivid picture!
